All these guys--Roach included, talk about all the fighters avoiding the mandatory and ducking, then he goes and spouts off about which has the bigger PPV draw. If you're fighting for a paycheck and not to be the best, then step aside. I was really excited for Deontay Wilder...he talked about not ducking anyone, then Al Haymon gets ahold of him and now it's "Oh, I'm not fighting Klitschko until I've had this fight then a mandatory" and all this bull. Boxing is for the people that pay the salaries by buying tickets, as well. If you're not ready to hold a title and defend it, then don't fight for one. That's what I LOVE about nearly all of the boxers from the 60's and 70's that you look at. They weren't afraid to have an 'L' on their record. They had confidence that if they lost, they were good enough to get back in the mix again and get it back. This machine they've created is ****e.

You're an illiterate.Exactly. They wanna DOWN Cotto, and in the same breath, they pretend a win over Cotto means GGG is the greatest ever.
The lames go so far as to discredit Geale for LOSING and yet, they want GGG to fight little Cotto as if Cotto has NO losses on his record.
The worst fans are those who cling to GGG out of desperation. Those who come from countries with NO boxing pedigree, suddenly get to act as if GGG represents them. Fck outta here... Bring your OWN flag silly peasants.

You should be drug tested. You sound like an 8th grade dropout, Clown.Hating on Future Hall of Famer because your blinded by your fandumb is lacking of any boxing knowledge PERIOD!.!
If Cotto's brother had Canelo hurt, Miguel Angel Cotto would best him on skills and power alone. Would he be a good fight, yes similar styles, Cotto is the better and smarter fighter.
Cotto has fought the who's who, and win or lose every opponent has been forced through combat to acknowledge Cotto's pedigree, after each fight his opponents have battle wounds to show, and respect to give. Cotto hits back MOFOS!

Señor Roach can you put that in writing please! And to be honest with you neither canelo/ggg will get any credit for beating an old washed up cotto! Cotto/floyd II is garbage!!!

Incorrect. It was t Diaz' it was cottos! He was an ash ole. Lazy. And wants to go back to his comfort zone. Cotto took trout lightly. Didn't prep as he should and got punished for it. That's what his dun azz gets. Thankfully he learned. Now he take all fights seriously. Even the trouts and the geales becuase those types are the most hungry.
You are half correct. Diaz was over training Cotto. One of the first things Roach said was Diaz is a good trainer but Cotto was definitely over trained, he said that Cotto was also not dieting nor eating correctly when training which is why Cotto was always in a bad mood. Look at Cotto training now compared to back then.Comment

Trout wasnt to fast at all. Trout was punching while moving away and Cotto wasnt aggressive enough to close the distance. Cotto tried to out point a rangy boxer. Cotto also didnt get much credit for his body work in that fight, I had Cotto loosing but not by that much.Comment

When you fight four times a year, it is only natural that some fights will be against softer opponents as that is all that is available. A keep busy fight is different from a 'tune up'. When you fight ONCE per year, you have no excuse to not fight the top contender in your division. Especially when you are the lineal champion of that division. Anything less is an embarrassment to the sport and an insult to the fans.
Seriously man? at 58 years old how long have you been watching boxing? Because you seem to not know very much about it.
Stay busy fights are fights that occurred when their was no opponent lined up or your next opponent had a fight and the timing wouldnt match up so you took a fight to "stay busy". A tune up fight is a fight you take coming off an injury, a long lay off, a bad loss, a move up in weight or prior to a MAJOR FIGHT. De La Hoya took tune up fights before almost all of his biggest fights. I mean your kung fu is weak man, and your sauce is bland and watery. Get some boxing knowledge other then being angry GGG aint getting his mando against Cotto.Comment

Cotto was always in a bad mood because he wasn't getting fed properly!
