Did he? No f**king way he had any idea who the f**k Chris Algieri was before their fight was signed. And if he did, the earliest he found out about him was 6 months before their fight because Algieri fought Ruslan, and Ruslan's a stablemate who fights under the same trainer. That would be the only reason on earth as to how Pacquiao would know who Chris Algieri was prior to their fight.

In fairness at that time it was expected that provodnikov Would beat chris and get the Pacquiao fight. But chris beat him, and it wasn't like top rank had a ton of other options.

And most people were fine with that.

I also think chris has shown to be much better than we knew during the Pacquiao fight. He showed vs Kahn he cn beat a lot of these top guys IMO.
