Geale was a soft joke opponent the day before Golovkin decimated him and made him give up.

A year later, career and title aspirations pretty much over at a 157 catchweight when he's been fighting at middleweight for decade, he's world class!

That's just how it works when the person posting has a Cotto name, Cotto, avatar, Cotto signature.

Because he has earned so much reputational capital throughout the course of his career, I'm fine with him taking on Geale as a good challenge after a year out of the ring. However, if he beats Geale and does not face elite competition in his next fight...he might begin to alienate even people like me.
Agreed. I expect canelo next & then GGG.

You guys were the ones touting Geale as GGG's toughest and most legit opponent till that point. GGG knocks out Geale you guys were like "look what GGG did to a top 5 Middleweight," now Geale is fighting Cotto and you all over this board acting like you always thought he was a bum. Now you trying to flip and say it's Cotto fans, lol. Geale is still ranked top 5 by ring magazine and he is going to get a top 5 beating. Its obvious that Geale is more of threat to Cotto then to GGG because GGG is a full blown middleweight like Geale is, to suggest there is no truth to this is equivalent to admitting your bias.

          ????

Cotto is fighting someone who just got softened up by Golovkin.
