Stevenson has lost as a pro; he lost by T.K.O. to Darnell Boone, whose record at the time was 16 - 15 - 2. In the return match, Stevenson won by K.O. in six. So, why not have Beterbiev fight Stevenson and get the lineal light heavyweight title? That for certain will guarantee that Kovalev will fight Beterbiev (unless Beterbiev then decides NOT to fight Sergey). See how simple it would be for Artur? Getting and winning match with Stevenson (while Stevenson still has the title) is the fastest way to get a fight with Kovalev once Beterbiev is lineal champion. For his ninth fight, Arthur fights and beats Stevenson, and for his tenth fight he fights Sergey.

Do you know why Kovalev have fought Boone twice, do you know why? In the first fight, he won by split decision, he didn't knock down Boone at all. However Boone dropped Kovalev on the canvas in the 7th round, out of 8. Kovalev could barely get up and make it til the end, Boone got robbed that night. Just like Stevenson got robbed against him, when he was standing up and ready inside the count of 3.

I'd like to see him stay active, with four of five more fights, and then face Kovalev in the second half of 2016.

Beterbiev should fight Chilemba, Dawson, Fonfara, etc first.

And I'd like to see Kovalev get a crack at Stevenson before he fights Beterbiev (there's no chance he'd lose to Adonis but he might lose to Beterbiev).
