I find it interesting Artur calls out Kovalev when he exclusively fights under HBO. Meanwhile Stevenson is under Haymon and can easily get made anytime. So why the fk isn't Artur calling out Stevenson?

Yvon Michel stated that Beterbiev and Stevenson will NEVER face each other in the ring as long as they are promoted by GYM. With them both being signed to Haymon as well, the chances of them ever fighting each other are non-existent. They will, however, take every possible opportunity to challenge and trash talk fighters they know will never be able to face them, such as Kovalev. You cannot expect class from the Haymon camp.

In a properly run boxing world, there would be an eliminator between Stevenson and Beterbiev with the winner facing Kovalev for all the titles. That would be good for boxing and great for the fans. Unfortunately in this world of politics and exclusive contracts, such things will never happen.

I'm a Beterbiev fan but he hasn't fought at the level of Kovalev yet though. I wouldn't mind seeing him against someone like Chilemba or Oosthuizen first, then move onto the likes of Fonfara and Pascal.
