Geale better make the weight or his purse will be ****d and/or the fight might not happen.
He won't make weight but Cotto will still go on with the fight but the title will not be at stake. Seeing as it will not be a title fight, he will now be able to claim the Canelo fight as his voluntary defense and not have to make a step aside deal with Golovkin.

            This is Geale's own fault.

Again if the catchweight was going to be a problem he should have never agreed to it. Should have stayed firm at 160.

Now if he comes in over on fight night he should be prepared to pay a fine.

Does the WBC actually pay for the plane trips, and send people to check the weight? How do they confirm it?

It wouldn't surprise me if it played out like this. I don't see anything stopping Cotto/Canelo from happening. MW has become a ****in joke. GGG will hopefully get his feet wet at SMW soon.

Why is Roach at fault? These fighters are goddamn adults and should be taking responsibility for their actions. Cotto is the champion not Roach. All he needed to say is 'the fight takes place at 160' and it is done. I'm sick of giving fighter's a pass for pulling this **** and solely blaming it on Roach. I'm no fan of Freddie but when are we gonna start putting some of this back on the fighter's themselves?

smh so this stuff has been all word of mouth? what's even the point of these 30 day weigh-ins if none of their guys is actually out there watching the fighter step on the scale...
