Per WBC rules, at the 7 day weigh-in the fighters aren't allowed to be more the 5% of the limit (165lbs for 157lbs). I wonder what this means?

      Geale was never 157lbs.

Evidently they go by the weight class, not the CW, so he's within half a pound.... which makes me wonder now if he was naturally there and stepped on it like that or tried to lose weight to make that

They can't be more than 5% over (they don't want them losing more than 5% of weight in the next week), and 157 * 1.05 = 164.85

lol what the hell is going on here? How could it be that inaccurate? I mean if he's 167.5 right now, I'd imagine he was even heavier 30 days ago. So how could they be off by like 15-20 pounds?!

No, I was wondering what this means in terms of penalty for Geale?

I think he makes the weight ok, but if not I hope he shows up at 159 and tells Cotto take or leave it. It'd be the first time we've seen someone miss weight and still be eligible for the title = F Cotto!
