Actual Numbers: Khan-Algieri averaged 1M viewers and peaked at 1.12M on Spike TV.

Considering it was on Spike TV and against an opponent not of the highest standing before the fight; those ratings are pretty darn good. A good 150k or so more than the Berto-Lopez fight. Whole show averaged 772k.

Most viewed Spike card and also very good numbers for a friday night according to Dan Rafael. He Just asked a guy (from England coincidently), if he was on drugs when he claimed that those were ****ty numbers.

I guess that sounds like pretty decent numbers. Still....the main issue is getting all the boxers air time. These guys are going to be fighting once or twice a year either way you slice it. While GGG and Crawford, for example, might get 4 HBO headlines this year. I like being able to watch boxing every other week but I don't see it lasting, just too many mouths to feed. He had too many fighters about 5 months ago and his stable keeps getting larger...........are his TV dates growing at the same rate? When you promise these guys they will be fighting 4-6 times a year at over a million a pop, they obviously won't be happy getting one payday a year.

It was a entertaining fight, not surprised tbh

The fight was fought at a high pace from round 1 to 12

        Everyone was clapping and cheering

Cant say the same about Brook vs Gavin, boo's and silence, people walking out half way through

7,000 people screaming and roaring >18,000 people bored and quite

Can you just stop this Brit civil war between Khan fans and Brook fans on this site?
It would be good because it's start to get boring.

By comparison Shinsuke Yamanaka on a Wednesday against a complete bum peaked at 17 mil.

They're basically keeping the real boxing fans but not creating any new fans so not sure what they want but this is good for Spike , this did better than Spike's other sports broadcasts.

Just goes to show that Khan is a pretty big star if we're being honest. He's not quite Floyd or Manny level but he's definitely in the Top 10 boxing stars in the world right now (from any division).

I think these numbers will seal the deal for the Floyd fight. It's going to have a HUGE viewing audience, I'd say over 2 million like Mayweather vs Canelo, but maybe Khan can break the 4.4 million record set by May-Pac?

Records are meant to be broken.

The only reason i mentioned it was because Eddie Hern made a big song and dance about nobody watching Khan in the US the other day

What a mug he looks like now

That fight doesn't excite me but I'd be kinda pumped if he fought khan with groves/jack and frampton/Russell on the card. The atmosphere would be sick too

Yes, advertising costs are different depending on the type of broadcaster. It is much cheaper to advertise on a cable station than on a broadcast network. This makes the ratings even more important to drive the prices higher. So while the point you are trying to make is in fact correct, it is not in your favour.
Keep being a bitter lame Barcham.

Advertising revenues are non existent, That's weird because Inwatched a PBc show on Spike and they had ads from

Corona , Gander Mountain, Sonic, Mountain Dew, Snickers, Twix, Resses, Klin***e , Taco Bell, Mini Cars , Ace Hardware, Michalob, Pizza Hut, Little Cesar's, Jack Daniels , Auto Zone , ****s lumber, Progressive , True Car, Burger King, AT&T, Dominies, True Value, Doritos and many more but I guess PBC didn't charge them and let them hawk their product from the goodness of their heart.

Garcia/ Peterson did over 1 million at the gate I would say it's a safe bet to say Khan / Algieri did similiAr, obviously the lesser names Dirrell/ Jack , Dirrell / Degeale gate probably wasn't good but still to act like no revenue is coming in from tickets is just plain ret@rded. ( What was your husbands gate vs Monroe?)

I don't know how much international rights generated but I would say Khan / Gegeale being legitimate UK names it isn't a drop in the bucket even if it's a couple 100k. That doesn't include any other country or broadcaster paying rights fees which there probably quite a few.

But to act like every show they have its losing money and doesn't generate income is ridiculous. But that what I've come to expect from you.

It's clear you have no idea what your talking about and let the hate you have for anything not GGG related twist up your ovaries.
