Top rank isn't going anywhere as long as HBO has there back.

He's already squeezed out most of the managers, and the smaller promoters are going to be what they have always been, smaller promoters. There not going anywhere.
Exemple is haymon taking Fox Sports from GBP. Less TV dates means less money then fighters will start jumping the ship.

Its about branding, they need to get the PBC brand out there. Thats why youre seeing so many fights on so many different channels.

I dont get the argument for oversaturation. As a boxing fan im loving that there is a meaningful fight pretty much every week

The 1 mill is just for the Kahn fight, not the whole show.

Which makes a difference when your buying 2 hours of tv time.

Still, it's a decent # I guess. Its tough to quantify it since everything is out of pocket.

the average ratings were 1 m, but when Khan and Algieri fought, they peaked at 1.2 mil

Like it or not that fight was entertaining and people tuned in to watch

A lot of u were crying about Khans performance, but he gave the casual fans what they wanted to see, 'entertainment'

Hopefully he gets the Floyd fight

couldnt have said it better myself.

I'm not a haymon hater, but truth is this is completely unsustainable. If he doesn't build stars quickly, which he hasn't shown he can do, I think pbc will fall Sooner than people believe.

And it really makes no sense to me why he needs so many channels and show dates. He doesn't have that kind of star power, not even close.
I think he shouldve done a tournament of the different weight classes with that huge stable he has. one night welters, one night super light weights etc..
