Great article explaining why Amir Khan is STILL Floyds biggest threat at Welterweight

OBSERVE AND FIGHT: IS AMIR KHAN FLOYD MAYWEATHER'S TOUGHEST CHALLENGE AT 147?

Like it or not, Amir Khan is Floyd Maywaether's toughest challenge at 147. Chris Algieri fought a very smart fight against Khan, but he is not a measuring stick. Other than Gennady Golovkin, who would be much too big and strong most likely coming in 25 lbs heavier than Mayweather on fight night, Khan has the intangibles that will present Floyd Mayweather the most problems. Khan brings speed, decent power, and has approximately the same height and reach as Mayweather. Also, for all those who feel Khan has a glass chin, while that may be true, when was the last time we saw Khan really hurt? Is Mayweather the guy who can knock Khan out with one punch? I highly doubt that. Mayweather has never had one-punch knockout power. Khan is a special combination puncher who has greatly improved under the guidance of trainer Virgil Hunter. Khan's offense has never been an issue. His defense was extremely suspect until he got with Hunter. Another thing to note is that Khan is an exciting fighter who should challenge Mayweather and make him fight. Like it or not folks, we better hope Khan lands the assignment because there aren't many other options who can truly challenge Floyd Mayweather.

Chris Algieri had a great game plan, but Floyd Mayweather will not fight like Algieri did. I know the critics are stating that Khan looked unimpressive, and I do agree with those assessments; however, if Khan were to fight Mayweather, he would fight much like Algieri fought, and Mayweather would fight like Khan did. Anytime the two got close, it was Khan who pushed the head down and stopped the momentum. Khan fought on his back foot most of the fight. Khan was counter-puncher most of the night. Sound familiar? Khan showed all the attributes of a typical Floyd Mayweather fight. I'm telling you folks, Amir Khan is going to cause Floyd Mayweather a lot of problems.

Great showing by Chris Algieri! Algieri is going to be an issue for a lot of fighters if he fights like he did on Friday night. I wouldn't mind seeing him in the ring against the winner of Adrien Broner vs. Shawn Porter myself.
Algieri did a lot better than expected but the truth is Khan's skillset is the most toughest thing for Floyd at 147, he has the reach, speed, and height that many others didn't have, look you need more than speed to compete with TBE and the fight with #48 proved that, not only that but the guys who won more than 2 rounds (Cotto and Oscar) had height and a fast good jab that a skilled fighter like Khan has.

STYLE MAKE FIGHTS guys when will you learn.

I don't need to read the article. I have seen all of Mayweather's fights and all of Khan's fights of the last 5 years and I saw what I saw and I think what I think. Khan can't punch. He never hurt Algieri and Algieri said his power does not even compare to the power of Pacquiao or Ruslin. Khan is not a skilled boxer. He was outpointed by Peterson and held to close decisions by very average fighters Algieri and Diaz. Peterson , Diaz and Algieri don't remotely compare with Mayweather for boxing skills, speed, accuracy or defense. I give Khan no chance to beat Mayweather and if the fight is made Khan will be a huge underdog. Khan doesn't have the power to hurt Mayweather or the skills to outpoint him. Khan's style is simple. He either goes backward or goes straight in and throws 2 or 3 fast but not very accurate punches. Then he applies an illegal headlock or bearhug to prevent his opponent from countering him with return fire. Khan would be very easy work for Mayweather. Let's not forget Khan's weak chin. Algieri hurt him and Mayweather hits much harder with better accuracy and timing than Algieri. Mayweather almost certainly knocks Khan out.

Skill wise he's not on Floyd's level.

But his jab, speed, reach and activity will trouble Floyd.

See the thing is is that everyone has something bad to say about Khan, yet they don't post an alternative. Or they say some dumb **** like Brook or Thurman, who no one cares about. Or they say he should fight GGG. At that point there's no debating with these idiots.

Your the guy who calls Pacquiao #48. You should cut that **** out. Pacquiao won 4 rounds on 2 different judge's cards. That is better than Cotto, Marquez and lots of other good fighters did with Mayweather and yet you don't give them numbers. Pacquiao is still one of the best pfp fighters in the world and he would chew Khan up and spit out the pieces. Just ask Algieri.

                  True.

But I don't think Floyd has the power to stop Khan and I think it won't be easy to outpoint him.

I think Khan will get an early lead.
