If you believe that excuse then it's no different than when Floyd fought Cotto and he said "It was for a good fight, I had to the give the fans at least one." Monroe is an idiot. Golovkin didn't hit the hips or back of the head any more than an average boxer in an average fight. Monroe was knocked down twice in the 2nd round of the fight...he wasn't worn down with cheap shots lol....Dude, you got knocked out in 6 rounds...and you quit!!! Angulo conrnered him and dripped him twice. GGG is 10 times better at cutting of the ring,hits much harder,and is on a completely different skill level than angulo. GGG would knock Lara the **** out before the 6th round.

I also think that he made the whole thing up. He didn't get hit on purpose, but saying that will get you fans. Specially after the FM/Pac fight. So I understand why he said it. I think he got careless because he didn't feel WM to be any sort of threat.

As far as the veteran tactics, if you've been in boxing for that long and you expect your rival to be the friendliest and cleanest of fighters you're kidding yourself. Even the amateurs do **** like that.
