He did it in his home town with all the advantages, and he didn't win impressively against a faded and injured opponent.

I think Degale deserves it more than Mayweather.

So beating a past prime Dirrell who ever won a title in a fight that was razor thin is better then beating Pacquiao?? why even make these threads if you are going to be biased?

I'm torn between Alexander Povetkin, who won in an impressive way against a boxer who had never been knocked down before and had only one close decision loss, and James DeGale, who won in his opponent's home country.

Alvarez, Lomachenko, Gonzalez, Makabu and Golovkin all won their fights in an impressive way.

I'll think about it for awhile and vote later.

Sorry Tunn, this is 2 horse race between Floyd and Degale, all others need not apply.

I'm not biased, you are. Dirrell isn't past prime, he's just age 31 and hasn't taken much punishment in his career (he hasn't had a lot of difficult fights).

DeGale was fighting in his opponent's home country. I'm always impressed by boxers who are not afraid to travel and who win titles on the road.

Floyd was in his home town as always, with his home town ref there to permit him to clamp his opponent's arms. He was fighting an injured, faded opponent from a country far away. Pacquiao had been stopped four times in the past and hasn't been the same since he was knocked out cold.

And still, Floyd didn't win impressively.

DeGale wasn't impressive either, he couldn't even build any momentum after the first two knockdowns and gave up so many of the middle rounds. All those lapses of doing nothing almost cost him the fight. Don't get me wrong, I thought DeGale was the better man, I'd even pick him to win more decisively in a rematch but his performance was hardly impressive.

Mayweather still shut Pacquiao down, neutralized him in a way which no one else has.

My pick goes to Degale. Very impressive; made me a fan.
