Judging by the posts in this thread, this is not my own rule. Nobody but you cares about catch-weight bouts between two prospects or journeymen and only a minority of people, and this is an euphemism, are giving Canelo a pass for creating his own weight class. Granted, Canelo gets a lot of unwarranted hate, but in this instance, it's hard to defend him.
Canelo-Lara was a meaningless PPV fight between the two best light middleweights in the world LOL. Angulo (PPV) and Kirkland might not have had a lot of momentum coming in but they were at least longtime light middleweight contenders.
canelo deserves the criticism if he doesnt care to go the extra mile for 1/2 pound, and even know i personally dont care about CWs for non-title fights i understand the posters that criticize this...Comment

At this point, I just want to see good fights
Canelo/GGG at whatever Canelo-weight, winner takes on Cotto if he manages to get past Geale at whatever Cotto-weight and life will go onComment

You just have to look at Alvarez's options to figure out what he's doing. There's no one left for him to fight at 154 outside of Demtrius Andrade (and that won't happen).
GB is suing Haymon, which means Canelo won't be fighting the Charlo's, J-Rock, Harrison, Gausha, Golub, or Dolton. HBO won't pay him $3mill to fight Andrade, Baysangurov, or Rabchenko. Kirkland was his last option. Only option after Cotto is to fight MW's. He'll be laughed at if he tries to fight Bradley.
Not Bradley, De La Hoya said that Lucas (140lb) was a good fight for Canelo at "155"! lol! Canelo fans will say that its a good fight. By the way talking about them...where are they?Comment
