He's quite versatile with an excellent mix of offense and defense and a high ring IQ shown throughout a great 19 year career. People act like he's only just started out and label him "boring", but that's down to him aging and fighting naturally bigger men. His power isn't what it was at the lower weights (he's also got brittle hands) so he's adapted to the changing circumstances to great effect. I'm struggling to think of any modern day greats that were considered the best fighter in the world at 38 years old, but he's found a way to do it.
His out of the ring persona is a marketing tool (which I don't obviously care for) and has worked out pretty well for him. Most people are unable to separate that from the fighter for some reason.
He does deserve condemnation for the domestic violence issues, and I'll be the first to criticize him for that, but I afford him the same "grace" I've given to some of the legends we've had in the sport. It's just unfortunate that it attracts a certain type of element.
Why aren't we allowed to appreciate the greatest boxer of the generation. Why does that upset you so much? Do we question why you like Pacquiao so much?
I like people that appreciate success and have fun with their money. I also like his style and how amazing he is at what he does. People "hate" flashy rich, successful people, yet they can't stop watching them.

They still reeling after they last hope got humiliated. Don't forget the bold it's crucial to they hate.
He didn't give a **** about no critics nor any biased casual fans, he always did the right thing for himself and he didn't have a fake image like all other fighters like Dela Hoya or Pacquiao for instance, he spoke his mind and didn't worry about the backlash, that's something to admire right there.
He did what every employee in the world wanted to do and that's to be his own boss, every boxer should appreciate what Floyd has done in boxing because he refused to be a slave to his promoter and as a result he ended up being the highest paid athlete in the world for like 3 years straight, nobody is taking a 30% cut from his purse like Pacquiao has been doing with Arum for more than 15 PPV fights, he's smart and he doesn't let a crook like Michael Koncz dictate everything and sign an extension with Bob Arum in 2012 preventing Pacquiao from making tons of money being on his own and blocking the biggest fight possible against Floyd Mayweather.
In the ring he's the best, he does everything right, who was considered to be P4P number 1 fighter in the world at the age of 38? who is the longest reigning best P4P fighter in the history of the sport, Floyd has been on the top of the P4P list for like 12 years.
