Getting Johnson out of there is nice, but it was pretty much more of the same from what I have seen from him.

Great physical specimen, with a very good offense especially when just allowed to paint a masterpiece. His power is certainly good, but I am still not overly sold on him being a huge puncher, he does put his punches together well so that may not matter much.

Obviously not much to judge from the defensive end on this fight so will leave that concern to the side.

He looks even bigger, and guys that look like bodybuilders usually fall short in terms of stamina, throwing tight shots and speedy fluid motions. Maybe he is the sort of athlete that can be an exception to that line of thinking, but that is still one of the biggest concerns about him.

Impressive performance for Joshua. I still say let's give him more time but this is a step in the right direction.

Hearn mentioned Whyte. I think that'll get made and Sky will go for it as a big grudge match.

I'm not sure who I want him to fight next. Johnson was supposed to give him rounds and he couldn't do it. Is Thompson too big a risk?

Needs to fight someone who throws back.

What happened was inevitable for Johnson, the guy has been living off something that happened 6 years ago, in going the distance with Vitali while offering nothing back. Dont even think Johnson is ranked in the top 50 anymore?

I would like to see Joshua fight someone like Mariusz Wach, who will give him the rounds he needs.

I'm not asking for him to fight the top echelon fighters but how about these guys:

                Malik Scott
                Manuel Charr
                Bermane Stiverne
                David Price
                Chris Arreola
                Artur Szpilka
                Amir Mansour

Guys that will punch back, that aren't going to stand there and take a beating.
Artur splitzka would be a good one and very doable as he's with Haymon I think. He and Hearn have been having a lot of match ups lately

Both undefeated British fighters why not. Anyways, Whyte has already signed the contract according to his latest interview on IFL/Boxnation. It was a fight Hearn put forward to the public as Whyte beat and dropped Joshua.

Impressive W by Joshua. He's making me look forward to some Joshua vs Fury & Joshua vs Wilder next generation HW fights. Joshua might have done the least of the 3 so far, but he's looked the most impressive vs the similar caliber guys so he might be the last guy to the party, but he might be the best guy. Gonna be interesting watching Joshua move up in competition & if he can keep up this impressive streak.

If they fought Thompson next that'd be a bold ass move & put him into real contender status with a W. That said I don't see the rush. This was a good move up & he looked great. Let him fight a slightly lower/higher caliber guy next & lets slowly ease him into the top ten over the rest of this year. First qtr of next year he can start fighting legit contenders & he'll probably be ready for a title shot by the end of next year if this ship keeps moving like its been moving.
