Gradovich showed NOTHING to suggest he was in a position to take over the fight - what makes you think he would find something more or better after using his face as a punchbag for half the fight? He was saved for his own good...everyone celebrated like a TKO because essentially it was - the fight was over as it was clear as day Selby won almost every round.

Harsh stoppage but that is typical in Britain, but at the end of the day it saved Gradovich from further damage because he was on his way to a further beating and I think the stoppage was because there was a second cut after the first one and in general his face was deteriorating.

No rematch required - Gradovich was exposed as a face first brawler bum and Selby is a good skilled but probably lacking the star quality to beat the very top echelon guys in the division like the other champs.

However, he proved he was far superior to Gradovich.
