Its sad to see how boxing matches are scored these days. Judges tend to favor the fighters who dance around the ring the most and avoid fighting even if they are landing the less effective punches and getting worked over. Its like they are judging a ballerina competition instead of a fight

Algieri did better than Alexander because he had a plan B. He realised quickly that he couldn't outbox so he started to walk Khan down and brawled with Khan- in the same way Peterson did, and it worked better for him, but he didn't have the power to really trouble Khan.

It was now way good enough to get Mayweather from Khan, but in some ways Mayweather is a better style match up for Khan because he's not as big as Algieri, and he's not going to provide the relentless pressure that Khan has struggled with.

We all know compubox is garbage but even going off compubox khan landed l218 to algieris 199. The only problem is that algieris 199 were twice as effective as khans 218 so they should be weighted more and the scores should reflect that. Algieri won that fight.

He didn't realize that during the fight, that was the game plan going in and he used the high pressure tactics from the rip. Khan doesn't deserve mayweather at all but mayweather doesn't care, he is guaranteed 30 million whether he fights khan or rod salka so I think mayweather will fight khan even though there is really no demand for it and khan was clearly exposed for what he is, a b level boxer in all aspects except for maybe hand speed which wont win khan big fights just based on that. From his weak chin right down to his shoddy defense, khan has to be one of the most overrated fighters in boxing.

Look at Algieris recent opposition: Pacman, Provo, Taylor
Look at Khans: Alexander, Collazo, Molina
Who came in facing the tougher comp? Who was the favorite? So the guy who was fighting on a higher level against current champs was the underdog? What im saying is, dont dismiss the percieved "underdog" when hes been facing the better comp. I was pushing for a win for Algieri, oh well, at least Khans exposed now..can you trrds stop pretending hes a top welter now, at least let him fight and beat a top welter before yall jump the gun again. Algieri deserves the props in this one.

Only people that think he a top ww is his fans and ppl that think his speed will give Floyd problems forgetting that Floyd neutralizes his opponents best weapon

Algieri has a case, and I was rooting for Khan. #48 was completely outclassed. Big difference.

Sorry Chris, you didn't win. Khan was poor but he won. Clearly.

Ive been pushing a-fighter-is-only-as-good-as-their-opposition type agenda and when applied to Floyd-khan its a complete mismatch in Floyds favor. Look at the level Floyd fights at, just got done beating Pac the #2 welter, and look at the level Khan fights at- went the distance with Algieri who is not ranked at welter, alexander who lost his title before that. They both face different caliber foes with Floyd fighting at the highest level possible.

You can even apply that notion to the Khan-algieri fight. Everyone had Khan completely outclassing Algieri coming into the fight with Khan a huge favorite. But you look at eachs level of opposition beforelast night and you would have Algieri facing the more quality opponents with Pac and Provo..if ppl wouldve looked at it like this, the competitive nature of last nights fight wouldnt be a surprise
