I agree.. with no catchweight of 144 and john david jackson in the corner, Algieri beats Pacquiao.

          I agree.

Pacquiao is simply a better fighter than Khan. Levels above - Algieri was quite clear as well in saying that there's not really a comparison.

That was Pacquiao's demand and he was the champ at 147. Algieri was not exactly in a position to command any shots.

All I know is that I definitely do not want to see Khan vs Mayweather and after watching this it would be really sad if it happened.

Pacquiao demanded a catchweight because he wanted to ease himself back into the 140 pound weight division. He didn't want to go right from 147 straight down to 140. Usually drastic weight drops don't end well for old fighters. Freddie wanted to see how Manny would look at 144. They said they would only fight at 147 again for a Mayweather fight.

If Chris went up to 147 to face Manny the outcome would have been no different. Khan simply is nowhere near as talented as Manny Pacquiao. Yes he's fast and has a good jab but when it comes to overall ability Manny is leagues above him which is why Chris challenged Amir but got steamrolled by Manny.

Great addition of JD Jackson. Algieri seemed to have a much solider plan for winning this fight & just wasn't on Khan's level enough to make it closer. That said not a great performance by Khan. Khan has definitely not earned the opportunity to be Mayweather's last opponent.
