John David Jackson is an elite trainer!

It was just very surprising to see Algieri turn into an aggressive fighter, a come forward stalking fighter, which he's never been in his career. His punches also had a lot of authority and he shook Khan several times. That's a hell of a job by John David Jackson to completely and dramatically change a fighter in just one fight. He deserves massive credit for that even if he came up short.

Obviously his work with Kovalev says a lot. Dude is one of the top trainers today.

Agree, nothing but praise for the man. The gameplan, everything was terrific even if they did come up just short.

Quite possibly the best trainer out there currently.

Really good trainer, and really impressed with Algieri even in a losing effort. He's clearly improved a lot now.

He's got physical advantages over everyone he fought, yet never fought like it before tonight. Good from JDJ, I'd like to see more of Algieri.

No, but from memory he said he was looking to add another coach for some better technical advice.

                  He's good at forming gameplans

Chris was the same boxer, but the gameplan is what was different. We already knew Chris has a decent right hand, but instead of fighting on the backfoot, he came forwards.

                  Although still fell short
