Is it true Kovalev and Chocolatito are going to work with Freddie Roach?

I heard Roach said he had to turn down training Chocolatito for his American debut on HBO because his hands were full, but he might train him, also I heard rumors going around that Kovalev wants to train under Freddie Roach and move to California, he was training at the Wild Card gym during Pacmans training camp and roach was watching him hitting the double end bag and they talked.

Why are fighters seeking Freddie Roach? roach got exposed badly especially in the last Pacquiao fight with Mayweather, his only gameplan is to talk trash and hope fighters get nervous, right now he isn't in optimal condition and his strategies are garbage. He doesn't have the boxing IQ everyone thinks he has even when he was healthy his focus mittwork has always been the same and his strategies.

how did his strategy work out against your boy algeiri? looked like it worked out pretty dam perfect. there is no real game plan to beat mayweather he didnt get exposed tho i think his defensive teachings are a joke hes still a great trainer. also his fighters make good money roach is somewhat a promoter/trainer. if your an offensive minded fighter of course freddy is still a great trainer for u

Roach is a celebrity trainer. Both guys are essentially finished products, training with Roach is likely just a way to raise their profile.

I know with Kovalev he relocated to LA, so Wildcard is close. Gonzalez needs all the exposure he can get. I imagine Freddy is pretty excited about their offensive styles, but I don't see him doing this for much longer.

R.I.P. to Kova's and Chocolatito's defense then. They go to the most overrated coach who is also sick for a while... I didn't sy it as an offense (the sick part) but the truth was told.

top flight fighters with no motive to leave their trainers should stay put.

that NSB so idly talks about guys jumping ship and changing trainers is telling.

people wanted canelo to change trainers after the f#cking kirkland fight

he DESTROYED james kirkland, for the record. he whooped his ass and knocked him out.

"canelo lost to the best p4p fighter in the world in his early 20's. time to switch trainers."

Kovalev left Sanchez because he was too focused on Golovkin. Other than the proximity of the gym I don't see the point in him hooking up with Roach who already has Pacquiao and Cotto amongst others.

I don't think Roach does much for him either, Kovalev is already killing the competition and if anything it would be his defense that needs some work, not his attack.
