John David Jackson is selling the fight more than Khan's or Algieri's name. Makes me want to see if he can actually have Algieri wobble Khan. Or even catch Khan consistently through 12 rounds.

John David Jackson has proven himself to be a viable addition in a fighters corner by making Kovalev in to what he is currently. I am sure he has shown Algeri more nuances to his game. ALGIERI is already a good fighter he just needs to learn better distance measuring and using his great movement in a more measured way.

I think Khan has improved under Hunter - However, I believe he would have beaten all the same fighters he's fought under Hunter in similar or better fashion under Roach too.

We can't really know how much he's improved before he fights a proper fighter like a Porter, Maidana, Garcia, Brook or Thurman or whatever.

        But I think he's improved.

If Algieri could fight like JDJ can talk,he'd wipe the floor with chinny Khan.

"Throw it like you're trying to knock his head off!", essentially what Algeri needs to do in this fight. He cannot win in a pitter-pat contest with Khan, he needs to throw everything with conviction.

So, Brook should just let Amir come in for so, he can set up that left hook, which of course he is very precise with. Point being it isn't pressure, but counter attacks that will get Khan out of there cuz his chin won't recover well from those he can't see coming.

With that in mind your "I hate Khan" routine is reaching.

His biggest spike of "overall" improvement was under Roach. That's why it was so obvious. Now he has reached a level of saturation, old dog learning new trick and things he learn will be mostly subtle i.e. tuning. So, Hunter has helped him with move from the mentality of an amateur of getting you back right away cuz you scored a point on him, being economical with the shots, patience and not rushing things, recovering by holding and not sprinting. Also it is evident Khan is keeping his hands up a lot better.

In a nut shell Khan has improved quite a bit, but it will be nice to see how they unfold when he gets tagged from a guy with power.
Nothing to do with that. Just calling it as I see it as usual. I said this before he ducked Brook n signed to fight Chris the Kickboxer.

He still wades in with his chin in the air and got caught by Devon a few times. The only guy he's fought with moderate power since Garcia has been Diaz who put him on his arse and had him in serious trouble in the later rounds.

Since then Khan has been fighting stand-off boxers and counter-punchers with no power who he'll always get off first against due to his speed.

The only way we'll see if he's actually improved is if he fights a threat who can actually hit a bit and he refuses to do so.

I honestly think Brook's power is a bit overrated and he wouldn't have been able to take Khan out. Obviously Team Khan felt differently.

I think he's become a bit more poised. Doesn't bounce around as much. Doesn't attack as frequently but still very prone to the odd spaz out which might get him caught against a puncher.

It was interesting to hear Jackson saying Hunter was doing it all wrong but the irony is Kovalev is looking to add someone to his coaching team in order to get better technical advice.

Cool, hopefully he can teach him how to punch a bit.

he's still very easy to counter coming in. But unless you're a puncher he's not really affected, he walks through it well enough.
