Didn't this dude get 15mils plus for the groves rematch? If he's expecting something near that from HBO, this fight won't happen. Hopefully it does tho..

This is one of the best fights that can be made. I think golovkin KOs froch but who knows. Hopefully froch doesn't start singing a different tune when its make or break time

Obviously they can't spend that much, maybe $5-$6 million total for main event purse? Anything higher than that would need to go to PPV. Not sure how a Froch vs GGG PPV would do in America, 300,000 at absolute best? If it's PPV in the UK that could probably do well but not sure how the revenue split works, plus it it's HBO PPV it would have to be night time here morning there, I dunno.

I think the only way it works is regular HBO here in the daytime, PPV in the UK. No idea what kind of money that translates to.

I guess it boils down to how much money Froch is willing to fight for. If he wants a massive payday I don't think it's possible, if he can come down to regular Pre-Groves money then its doable.

Froch sure knows how to promote a fight/trash talk. Part of the issue is that Golovkin, as much as I like him, is just to damn nice. He has a manager but that guy hardly ever speaks either.
The manager needs to get Golovkin into 1/2 hour of English classes every single day. maybe 1 hour, whatever it takes. I mean, the investment in time and money will repay a hundred fold when they then make a video which can be shown on Sky and HBO.
Something where Golovkin comes across a bit nastier. I'm thinking the transition of Mayweather here - pretty boy to Money. Lets have a transition from nice-guy-next-door to likeable monster - that should work.
"My name is Triple G in case you didn't know - I like Mexican style and I like giving you a show"
Start knockout highlight reel and menacing music.
" hEY YOU!! " (cut to GGG pointing out a glove in direction of camera" ... "Froch!! You ready to put on a show - lets go!!"
Golovkin doing fast hand show and more knockouts " - for added effect Big Ben chimes or similar for every knockout and numbers flashing up showing the last 20 kos in a row.
I can see it now - family sitting on couch - "Dad! Who is that guy? He looks mean!"

Jeez - it ain't that difficult to get some hype going and draw in the casual fans. And if that doesn't work for you - try something else. Make those managers earn their money.

You dont seem to understand how the boxing business works. Nobody makes an offer to fight on other guys home turf. Froch is the money man here, at least in the UK.

Would Froch fight for a million? I'm sure HBO has the funds for a total $2 mil purse if its a 50/50 split.

Thats probably way more than they ever spent on an afternoon fight from abroad. Froch last got paid 13m+ with hardly any HBO participation. Hes UK #1 boxer

If HBO don't put up the money I say we start a kickstarter campaign and donate the money raised to the purse.
