Will people please stop mentioning GGG vs Lara....its a huge mismatch, Lara would get destroyed and it is probably impossible to make anyway. Nobody is an actual fan of Lara..they just use his name to say the fighter they don't like might lose to him.

If GGG wants to pick on a smaller fighter, why doesn't he fight Erislandy Lara at 158 catchweight? that would be a real good test for him against a guys who's fast and elusive, good ring IQ, with skills and good stamina, Monroe was gassed after 2 rounds, and he was also gassed in the Vera fight after 3-4 rounds and had to stand on the ropes to catch a breezer.

What do you guys think? is GGG ducking Lara since Lara has shown interest in the fight and GGG never addressed it? and if the fight happens, who you got? I got GGG winning probably on points, I expect a similar fight like Lara vs Canelo where Lara does well but then GGG gets the decision cuz he was coming forward.

Lara is signed to Haymon. Lara fights on PBC. Lara cannot fight on HBO.
GGG has an exclusive contract with HBO. GGG cannot fight on PBC. GGG would probably kill Lara in the ring and that is illegal.

And finally... about those tweets... Lara hardly speaks English and did not write those tweets or any others. They were most likely written by his manager to get some free and easy publicity for his client.

GGG is not trying to pick on smaller fighters. Where did you get that BS. He wants Cotto because Cotto is a 160 pound belt holder. If Cotto is too small for the weight he should give up the title and return to 154 instead of changing the class limit to 157. No middleweight champ in history prior to Cotto has made his challengers fight him at a weight lower than the traditional 160 pounds. GGG would destroy tract star Lara but why would he fight Lara? GGG is trying to get all the middleweight belts an establish himself as the best middleweight in the world. Lara has never defeated a middleweight and he is dull as dirt and doesn't bring in the fans or the money. GGG could KO Lara and then his haters like you would only say he beat up a smaller man. It wouldn't even be a good payday for him. Lara ran from Canelo and he lost. He would run even faster with GGG chasing him.

If GGG was going to go out of his way to fight someone that was Haymon he'd probably fight Quillin.

Lara went life and death with the one dimensional alfredo angulo. Golovkin hits much harder,and can cut off the ring like no one else in the sport. Lara doesn't make it past the 6th,and I'm saying this as both a GGG and Lara fan.

Golovkin is a little overhyped, if he wants to prove hes legit. Why not fight Lara?.

Lara also has over 300 amatuer fights and would be the best guy GGG has faced. Only problem is GGG doesnt seem to want the fight.

GGG seriously needs to step it up and prove himself, fighting lara would do that. Lara has said multiple times he wants the fight.
