I will jump out of my seat (in the arena ) if Kevvers pulls this off. This'll be my 3rd time seeing him fight live, so it's about time all that talent gets realised in the form of a world title.

I read his interview in Boxing News last week. He claims he wasn't right and was getting beaten up by journeymen in sparring before the Katsidis fight and that he only took the Burns fight because he needed the money and had been an alcoholic for 9 months leading up to it.

Personally I don't care that much as I'm not a fan of his but if I was it'd put me off. Maybe after this fight he'll claim he was on crack during training or something.

odds are shortening on linares, i guess everyone thinks he's gona win, they shortened on estrada last time, I rekon linares is more vulnerable than estrada, atleast estrada can take a punch. Maybe theres an injury to mitchell? will be good to see the pre fight warm ups n heavy bag stuff. I dont think theres that much science in boxing anyway, its going to come down to durability who can take a punch, strength and endurance of which linares looks weak in the legs, and what distance the fights going to be fought at of which linares cant keep distance. Im quite sure mitchell would beat demarco and probably thompson. I actualy picked estrada over mitchell last time but this time Im picking him to win, probably by mid/late stopage, Im not saying mitchells the perfect fighter but Imo linares isnt durable enough and mitchells got good momentum/ home advantage and he doesnt look shot by any means, and simms appears to be one of the best coaches in the country right now, although I dont realy rate aj cause he looks too robotic and muscled up, ryder looks good.

Practically any sort of outcome in the Linares-Mitchell fight will be unsurprising, Mitchell is certainly good enough to win this but the odds of him blowing it yet again, even if he genuinely has stopped drinking, are still fairly high.
