How is someone who fought prime Plasterito, prime Pacquiao, undefeated Mayweather, undefeated Trout, undefeated Quintana, undefeated Torres, prime Clottey, Sergio Martinez, a p*ssy? Come on, Cotto isn't in this for charity to other fighters, he paid his dues. He can fight Canelo next and retire and there's no one in their right mind who can call that guy a p*ssy. **** GGG, he needs to go pay his dues against dangerous elite prime fighters like Cotto did. why is he fighting geale then? seems pretty charitable to give him a payday when he clearly doesn't deserve it. why is geale getting a handout? did he pay his dues by getting ko'd by ggg?

Won't matter because Geale will beat Cotto. And plus Cotto has no intentions on fighting anyone with a pulse however Geale has a pulse, and he is 100 percent healthy.

If Cotto loses, We might get Golovkin vs Canelo much sooner than expected. And that is good.

If Cotto loses we get Golovkin vs Geale II. We don't see Canelo against GGG before 2017, if then. GGG may have moved up to SMW by the time Canelo is allowed to fight him by his mother, Oscarina.

Geale is not good man. But he is the bigger, taller man so that's how he can win. Cotto is better than Geale P4P. But sometimes bigger, taller average fighters are just really good against very good smaller/shorter fighters. As far as MW goes, Geale couldn't even beat Barker and then he has like 3 other mediocre wins. He struggles against other average MW's, and got demolished by the only good MW GGG.

Very possible. Even if Geale does win, he will not be fighting again until December at the earliest. That leaves GGG time to get in a fight against Lee in Sept if Lee is available. While Lemieux may fight GGG, that would be near the end of the year as well and may conflict with a possible Geale fight and if Geale does win, he will be Golovkin's priority over anyone else.

I have already stated in the past, that this was a bad move by Cotto, indefensible.

Cotto is not my fighter. If he loses to Geale it's too bad, I want to see Canelo get the win. However, it is so false that Cotto is a p*ssy. He's far from it. He's not my fighter, he's not a favorite of mine, but the guy has proved himself already.

Which elite fighters don't want to get in the ring with him? When Cotto fought prime elite fighters at WW, he was fighting guys in his weight class, guys who were dangerous, big, could take a punch and were ducked. To get these type of fights, GGG needs to move up to 168 like Cotto moved up to 147. There are no prime dangerous elite fighters at 160, and if you think JMW's coming up in weight counts as dangerous fights against prime fighters you are clearly not getting the point. Froch is a good start, once he gets his ass beaten by Froch, he will see what Mayweather, Pacquiao, Cotto, Hopkins, Marquez sacrificed to go up in weight and fight bigger, stronger men. Let's see if he can pass that test that the active greats went through.
