That is called throwing good money after bad.

    SMS Promotions is done.

50 lost much more than indicated in this article, I am sure of that.
He probably made money, paying himself a wage, and then declared bankruptcy to protect his assets. I bet you he never lost a penny

The fighters signed to 50 while Floyd was in jail under the impression that Floyd and 50 were creating this new promotions. Without Floyd's name none of these fighters would of signed to this joker. When Floyd backed out to stay with Haymon it left all these fighters stuck with just 50 Cent. 50 ruined every fighter he signed.

50 cents master plan was to have Floyd go into business with him and fight under his banner. He thought the fact Floyd was a fan of his music would be enough to sway him. That was the whole point of that "friendship"..if you read the book "50th Law" you'll see 50 is a very calculating slithery mofo, he makes chess moves, befriending Floyd was one of em.

A few days ago he was talking about how he loves being in this business. Doesn't seem truthful now but perhaps he didn't want to go into the situation. But this business is not for johnny come lately types. There are no books called "So you want to be a Boxing Promoter" that you can read in 3 days and jump into the business. He was not a boxer or a boxing manager and had nothing to do boxing prior to this. I admire the fact that he is very passionate about the sport as others have indicated but this is like a nice, faithful, married man getting drunk on a trip and winding up with a hooker and realizing he made a big mistake.

It seems like he has some insulation between the money he put up and his own private money so hopefully this doesn't destroy his finances. He worked hard to make it in Rap and you don't want to see someone lose everything. I feel the same about Floyd....I cannot imagine how much of an ass-hole a person would have to be to want Floyd to be broke some day. That's wrong on so many levels.

Worst name for a promotional company ever. SMS Promotions? SMS stands (and is widely known) for Short Message Service originally which is a mobile/cell phone text message. Why promote text messages?

50 cent started SMS Audio and SMS was supposed to stand for Studio Mastered Sound so why did he then use SMS for his boxing promotional company? It translates to Studio Mastered Sound Promotions.. WTF? Just shut it down.

those rapper-endorsed headphones are even worse than their boxing promotions

300 bucks for something with the frequency response curve of a walmart boombox

                  dont get me start brah

That's a bit of a stretch . Even Al Haymon tells his fighters that he can get them bigger money , bigger fights , but he can help them win fights . If u wanted to u could probably spin the argument the other way around and say that since 50's core crop of fighters all lost , his comp went belly up . Once your stock value goes bad how does a comp stay afloat ?
