  • Dirrell Refuses to Admit Defeat

    James DeGale and Andre Dirrell battled it out to secure the vacant IBF super middleweight title and the DeGale came out victorious after a victory of slimmest of margins. Dirrell on the other hands claims that he won the fight as DeGale ran away from him most of the time. DeGale won the fight via unanimous decision, taking his tally to 21 wins and only 1 loss.

    Why every loser these days says that his opponent was running in the ring rather than to fight?

    Would love your comment!!!

    well he aint wrong with this quote

    ***8220;They said I ran from Carl Froch and they took that fight from me. He ran tonight and they gave it to him,***8221; said the American boxer, ***8220;All he did was run, no way I lost this fight.***8221;
    everyone that dont like his style said he was "running" from froch even though dirrell clearly won that fight,,but they gave it to froch because of that very reason yet he loses tis fight?

      Dirrell just doesnt have that extra gear to pull it out the bag, he lost both fair and square.

        The 2 knockdowns means he has to admit it, without them he probably edges it by 1 point but he lost fair and square.

              While I think the 2nd KD was a bad call (you can't throw a guy down) Dirrell only has himself to blame for the loss. He took his foot off the gas in the last 2 rounds and lost because of it. If you aren't exhausted going into the 11th and 12th and you decide to coast, you don't get too btch about losing by 2 points.

                  Totally different fights though, Degale didn't fight anything like how Dirrell did in the Froch fight. Degale went on the front foot and backed Dirrell up many times too, knocked Dirrell down twice, won the early rounds, pushed him back in the last 2 rounds. Totally different fights, Dirrell shouldn't try to compare them.

                  On the other hand, Dirrell beat Froch on my scorecards so he should have been a world champion early in his career, it's wrong that they kept the title away from him. He won that fight no question in my eyes.
