Which match up is worse? Brook-Gavin or Khan-Algieri?

So eradicate all your biases and feelings towards any of the four fighters and please vote with your boxing brain.

Firstly, Algieri lost to the second best fighter of this era and beat Ruslan Provodnikov. Whereas Gavin lost when he stepped up to European level vs Bundu who was 12-0'd vs Thurman. I can comfortably say that Provodnikov would eat "fun time" Frankie Gavin alive. On the other hand, Algieri was floored six times against Pacquiao and showed nearly nothing to be impressed about and Gavin recently got a convincing win against a terrjble opponent who should have been stopped in a look good fight (his opponent landed 9! Punches in 12 rounds).

So which match up is worse? I don't want to hear any, Khan is doing this as it'll get him Mayweather as that's BS. Or any, Brook is doing this as a warm up fight to get the big fights next as Jo Jo Dan was supposed to be that warm up fight.

Well no, Dan was the mandatory.

Kell's big fight was always scheduled for the summer, he's just fitting one in between to stay busy. Still, Gavin is a crap fight.

Algieri is also a crap fight. He's coming off a 6 knockdown, 12-0 destruction at the hands of what people are calling a faded Pac. He's also a non-puncher at 140 being pulled up to 147.

I don't think one crap fight justifies another. Gavin doesn't belong in the same ring a top welter, Algieri doesn't belong in the ring with a top welter.

Bundu is not a bad fighter. Provo is not a world beater either. It is about even how bad these match ups are. Algieri looks a lil bit better on paper but he is not a 147 pound fighter

Yes I'm aware, they wanted to kill two birds with one stone. I agree, both are sub-par fights but Gavin most definitely does not deserve this shot

              Brook-Gavin is obviously worse.

The difference is Brook-Gavin in a throwaway fight just used to boost PPV sales.

Brook will fight another 2, maybe 3 times this year including again this summer in a big fight

This is Khan's summer blockbuster against Chris the Kickboxer

And let's not forget, we'd need not compare had Khan had the balls to step into the ring with Brook - we'd all be hyped for a summer showdown at Wembley now.

                Both are equally crap.

Both Khan and Brook should be embarrassed.

Especially Khan - tells everyone how great he is and then fights Chris freaking Algieri.

Just wait, next Saturday there will be at least 5 threads on Khan calling out Floyd, again...

I like Brook and consider him the future of the division he is the strongest welterweight, but his fight with Gavin is worse, Gavin has no shot of beating him he is outclassed in every aspect.

Algieri at least presents some problems for Khan, he can stick and move well, and moves constantly making it hard to really hit him often. Khan will have to basically chase him down, he could look ugly in this fight, he even acknowledges it before hand and doesn't sound too confident. He will win on points but there is a chance he might not look great.

Algieri is a more credible name opponent, but the thing is styles make fights and we all know that stylistically Algieri is an absolute cakewalk for Khan. both fights are horrible mismatches, so I voted the third option. the thing is, I think Brook actually wanted to fight Khan next, whereas Khan is on that Haymon schedule of gimme after gimme until he sees if Floyd will pick him.
