I like tim bradley but he never was an elite WW but he is a good fighter though

Bradley was the man at 140 and I wish he stayed there instead of chasing the money at 147 and working with Bob Arum.

We wont see him in their with any of the true top ten elite guys, unless is Pacquaio and JMM may as well retire. He is over 40 and injured.

With that being said, where will Bradley go? Kell Brook, Amir Khan, Mayweather, and Keith Thurman would most likely beat him...the other guys would be competitive as well.

His resume at WW consists of a gift win over Pacquaio, a clear loss to him, beating JMM who is a great fighter but never was an elite welterweight himself, and wins over unranked Provodnikov, Luis Abregu, and a draw with Diego Chaves who has beat no one of note. Next he will be facing another unranked welterweight Jessie Vargas. Vargas is ranked at 140 but has done absolutely nothing at 147.

Timmy I like you as a fighter, you have a lot of heart but you were never an elite welterweight in my book.....beating guys in their 5th and 7th weight class past prime doesn't make you one of the best when their are ranked young guns around

I don't know man, I can't blame him. It's called prize fighting for a reason, and you're naturally going to want the biggest fights (which means the biggest money).

He found himself in 3 PPV bouts and got rich as f**k in the process.

true....it is prize fighting...for the moment it was a good proposition because he got Pacquaio and a career high payday, but being someone that has followed the sport 20+ years I knew when he got to 147 he would be stuck.

Bob Arum has a thin stable of credible welterweights and he doesn't make it easy to do business with him either. Sure got Pac and jmm, but I don't think we'll ever see him fight Keith Thurman, Robert Guerrero, Mayweather, or any other true welterweight contender.

He is stuck with Arum like Manny is....he will be fighting the Jessie Vargas', Chris Algieri level guys the rest of his career because Arum;s stable from 140-154 isn't very good and Arum is a greedy Mofo

Good points. I like Bradley too but I've been disappointed with his opponent selection as well.

so getting a gift against Manny, and beating a forty plus year old former feathweight and lightweight champion made him elite? they are the only truly good fighters he ever faced at the weight and both were past prime and in their 5th and 7th weight class.

JMM ko'ed Manny who he always gave trouble and beat unranked Alvarado at a catchweight....other than that he lost to every decent fighter he fought above 140....Marquez is a great fighter, but he isn't a great welterweight. Their is a difference

How you deduced all that from my previous post is impressive.

How could you wish he stay at 140 when he is a growing man who could no longer make 140 pounds? So you rather have him die and be drained and not fight at his optimal weight where he would be in better condition and shape?

The guy is a short stocky dude who walks around in the 170s.

He is a future hall of famer in my eyes. even though he got that gift against Pac he still has it in the books and his win over JMM was impressive no matter how you slice it, he out fought, and out boxed a master counter puncher, he even hurt Marquez in the fight and had him wobbled at the end.

I believe the right that ruined him was his fight with Ruslan but when he fought Pacquiao a second time he got badly hurt too, I saw his eyes wide eyed a few times but he still told Pac to bring it, he felt he had something to prove he almost wanted the fight to end with a knockout either he knocks Pac out or pac knocks him out, that first fight haunted him, he wanted not controversy, no matter what you say about this dude he is a warrior.

his resume at 140 is top notch.
