Why ask for a fight that Froch already refused and gave up a title because of it? The title that DeGale won yesterday, as a matter of fact. If Froch was not interested in defending against him, why would be interested in fighting him now?

That's a pretty lame reason. Did DeGale say that after beating Dirrell? Or did he say that a while ago?

It should be the goal of any top fighter and title holder to want or at least try to be the man in their own division. I don't think DeGale saying he's not on Ward's level is an acceptable reason, nor is it the kind of mentally I would ever want to see in a fighter. If he doesn't believe he's capable of being the best he's in the wrong sport. But I have a strong su****ion that he likely made those comments a while ago, before testing himself and defeating Dirrell and being a world champion. Perhaps Im wrong but that just isn't the type of mentality you see in fighters.

Not sure why there aren't any Ward vs DeGale threads, seems the most logical being they are in the same weight class.
because people know ward most definatly beats the ca ca
        out of degale.

DeGale said after the fight that him and Dirrell are number 2 and 3 in the world at SMW and Ward is number 1. He said he wants to fight Ward though.

See, that's the right thing to say. Respects Ward is #1 of the division because it's true, says he wants to fight him.

Actually he didn't say that at all.

He said Ward's the number 1 in the division because he's proven that and then he and Dirrell were 2 and 3. He never said he wasn't on his level. James DeGale signed to fight Andre Ward last year you mug.

well we saw degale has 3 round stamina. GGG in 4 rounds knocks him out easily

Don't know, but Ward/DeGale would be Andre's first legitimate challenge from a world class 168 lber in almost 4 years.

3 round stamina? Is that why he finished the fight the stronger? He was coasting and conserving energy if anything.
