He's still 31, he still has some good 3-4 years left, he still can achieve a lot. He needs to get back to the gym ASAP though.Comment

I went with reserving my decision until he retires..Maidana has a very good resume, unfortunately he also has a lot of L's in his big fights..I think he's close,he just needs a solid few wins for me to say yes..Comment

I think, for our era, yes. I mean, if you sit back and truly think about it, Maidana is a badass fighter who achieved way more in boxing than he was supposed to. He was supposed get his ass kicked by Ortiz and go back to Argentina. Instead, five years later, he is putting hands on TBE. The first six rounds in Mayweather-Maidana were a slobberknocker, and Marcos kept his **** together in the second half.Last edited by Anxious Times; 05-24-2015, 03:08 PM.Comment

Maidana is not a HOF'er and I doubt he racks up wins that lead him to be one. Who knows what the criteria is. There's no set numbers or amount of wins, or KO's or UD's you gotta get, or amount of top 10 contenders beaten, or amount of world champions beaten. There's nothing, it's literally just fame, it's all over the place.
There are not standards. What are the standards, do you know them? There are no set standards.Comment

I think a guy like Maidana, with his style, is done. He has one more year of prime left. In 2-3 years he will be shot. But he was a badass while it lasted, toughest fight I have seen Floyd in since Castillo.Comment
