I wasn't that impressed, I don't know if it was a UK TV thing but you could hardly hear the fighters announced as well as the scores afterwards. Entrances were very quick too.

it was complete and utter trash. ring entrances build hype, ring girls are awesome tradition and they cant even sort out the speaker when the decision is being announced. terrible stuff + we cant hear what is going on in between rounds in the corners.

horrible production value but at the end of the day the fight is what matters most

Never occured to me. Too focused on the fight. The commentry in my head was too loud to notice Ray Leonard.

This is what im talking about

I dont know if its Sky or PBC but couldnt hear anything in between rounds, the sound was dodgy all fight long.

When Sky televised Kel Brook's fight which was on Showtime, now that felt like a real world title felt and when the winner was announced, it was incredible.

This, in comparison, felt dead. Buzzing for James but didnt get a chance to enjoy it. Did Dirrell do an interview? It wasnt even shown on Sky.

I think you're right on that, Spike makes it seem like more of a fun event. NBC has a bit of a clinical, soulless feel.

Main event was good though, I don't really give much of a damn about the other stuff.

Hey its boxing in primetime. It's good for recognition and it will help in selling PPV fights. Who cares how it looks aesthetically.

Haymon's stable on PBC is like they are going to a spa or something... Those guys feel no pressure whatsoever to provide good fights...
Quillin and Garcia did more than poorly; Chavez Jr. is out; Dirrell is out...
... Those chaps look like they are on vacation...

I certainly don't see how the whole production is supposed to improve the boxing product as pretty much all the events have been extremely lifeless and dull. However the main event here was a good fight and that is the most important thing.

Only thing that bothers me is the Muting Of The Language from the Crowd and the Trainers in the Corner. That is extremely annoying but I understand it is Network TV and you have to worry about the FCC or whatever but something needs to be done about the muting of everything.

Everything else I can live with, I think BJ Flores need to be added to the booth on NBC instead of just doing Corner Commentary. BJ Flores is better than Ray Leonard when it comes to Commentary and he knows the current fighters and the current landscape of boxing more.

Yeah the product can use some work! As long as the fights are good I can LIVE with the other stuff! At least the Coverage is not Bias, they gave DeGale his features and talked about his Accomplishments, I did not hear not type of Agenda or anything like that just straight down the middle covage. Ray Leonard is a little bias though

Danny Jacobs I like a lot as a Commentator though, wasn't enough of him but he did really good
