I think people over do the ripped part. A guy could be in great fighting shape and not look that "ripped".

That cotto is one of the big three. May pac and Cotto where/ are the trifecta of boxing. The three biggest draws. Cotto was treated as he fell off because he lost to the other two. He challenged and fought those guys when they were at their primes and when he lacked proper training and conditioning(I blame him for that though). He learned though.

So he was treated as a second tier fighter because of this. And all day in thus forum all I hear was he can't beat the elites. As if he wasn't elite himself. So now that pac lost to floyd what are they gonna say now? Cotto and pac lost to floyd so what? Pac and Cotto are still top three. Btw Cotto takes out floyd and pac if they were to fight again. I'd bet everything on that. Buck the haters here.

Regarding Cotto's fitness, people often post that he's in shape but I've never seen him out of shape for a fight. Seems like a given that Cotto is going to show up in shape.

And still gasses late in his fights.
