Yes, but in a tailor made showcase fight masquerading as a legit main event... Thurman is gonna look good vs collazo and the hype will start there for a quick turn around vs floyd in sept...

No chance. Khan-Algieri is the "showcase" for Floyd in September. Plus, it brings the UK money. That's the only Haymon fighter that makes any sense for Floyd in September. Cotto is the darkhorse, but all signs are pointing to Cotto-Canelo right now.

Knowing Cotto if he get offered floyd I beleive we will be seeing that I stead of Canelo. I hope he gets offered the fight because I really don't want to see mayweather embarrass khan like he did hatton. Which he is certain to do. Khan is a good fighter but against floyd he is second tier without a remote chance of winning. The promotors however will do a good job of selling it as some people have already bought into it as evidenced by some of the posts here.

the super fight everyone wanted to see will never be
          The bold is hilarious !

So, all Andrade had to do was put together two quality back-to-back wins ?

Only Mayweather/Canelo have done that from 147-154, nobody else.

Just pointing out that your " IF "..... is a huge " IF ", it didnt even get close to happening.

I think Floyd wants some of that uk money against khan, he didn't get that against hatton.

Fcuk Brook or Thurman as well.

You will never be able to explain to me why Brook/Thurman are deserving, and yet Khan/Garcia/Algieri are not.

                  e.g.

If Algieri beats Khan, he is likely more deserving that anyone else at welter - which is sad - and yet, he is clearly not ready for Mayweather, and he is clearly not on Mayweathers level.

You would have to be really stretching to suggest that any welter is deserving of that payday. There is a huge gap between Mayweather and the next best welter, who is actually likely to be Brook or Thurman as you stated.

I just dont think that they deserve the payday because neither of those guys pushed to be Mayweathers opponent for his final fight. Neither one of them took a risk, to distance himself from the pack. They all just sat there hoping to be the last man standing, because the others fell over while taking risks.

Cotto, or Lara, nobody else deserves the cheque.

At least Lara will fight anyone. The bold, describes every potential welterweight opponent, far more than it describes Lara imho.

The welters wont even take a risk. Not one of them has put together two meaningful back-to-back wins to try force that Mayweather payday..... and this is despite Mayweathers last fight being common knowledge for the last 3 years.

                    They did nothing !

It's not a huge if if eventually he will beat both.
