How relevant will Broner be if Porter whoops dat @$$?

Despite all the criticism Broner got for losing to Chino, there were still a lot of people defending him saying he was to young, to small, to much to soon etc. Personally I think Porter vs Broner is a great match up, Im actually surprised (to an extent) Haymon made it. Stylistically I think Porter has the edge & the whole re-hydration clause may not favor Broner like most think because Broner balloons between fights, unless the re-hydration clause only applies to Porter.

On the other hand if Broner wins, Id like to see Broner vs Pacquiao as Pacs first comeback fight after surgery. But anyways, will Broner, his fans, & team be out of excuses if he loses (by UD, KO, or TKO) to Porter? Or can you see Broner sticking around for a few more Paydays?

He will be somewhat relevant because of his personality, but he would mostly be done as a true contender. Also depends of what kind of loss he takes, if it's a Chino type beating he would be done, but if the fight is competitive it won't be so bad. However he should win, I can't see Porter being effective with the catchweight, and the rehydration limit is the nail in the coffin for him.

Ya it's a ridiculous and dangerous clause. He's going to be a zombie in there.

If Broner can't beat Porter with both the catchweight and rehydration limit, it will be embarrassing.

He will still be more relevant than Paulie Malinaggi.

If he loses this fight he will be about as relevant as he is now....zilch. If the judges raise his hand and it is not earned, like has happened a few times, ditto. Bronner has yet to show anything besides some potential. There are many guys with potential....they just do not get jailed on a regular basis, they do not say things that are cringe worthy and they speak properly, so we do not hear about them quite as much.

Bronner has real problems. He cannot use his size because of how he falls on the weight classes, i.e. he will be small for the weight class he is in. He does not have power that will let him move up as he gets bigger and he does not have the ability to craft his ability. If Im a bettin man (I am not) Me thinks Bronner will, in a few years time, be takin a pliers to that grill of his to make rent.

I think Porter can be ok, really if a fighter gains more than 11lbs the morning of the fight than he really is flirting with disaster regardless. But correct me if I am wrong but the second weigh in is the morning of and not right before the fight right?

Very. His only loses are to Maidana and Porter at 147. He can go back to 140. He's perfect 140 and below.
