Comments Thread For: Hearn: Froch-Golovkin Huge, But Froch May Still Retire

There is no guarantee that Carl Froch could take on middleweight king Gennady Golovkin in a potential farewell fight, according to promoter Eddie Hearn.

Froch recently gave up his WBA super-middleweight belt and hinted at retirement, but Golovkin's camp say their fighter will move up to 168lbs to take the Nottingham fighter on.

Golovkin, who boasts a perfect 33-0 record with 30 of those wins coming by knockout, had previously talked about dropping a weight to meet Floyd Mayweather.

Froch says he will only fight again if a bout is found that will excite him and he has already been out of action for nearly a year since his second victory over George Groves in front of a packed house at Wembley Stadium.

All these cowards, all they do is talk. Cotto, Canelo, Ward, Froch, Chavez... bunch of low life cowards. It is disgusting. And so frustrating as a fan of GGG when you know he beats them all in destructive fashion.

Froch should stop acting like a wobbling fighter on the ring and decide if he quit or still fight, right now. Stop hesitating!!!

unlike "golovkin, the poster" and "******", words "froch" and "coward" don't belong in the same sentence.

Why do people act like he wasnt caught and dropped by zombie Angulo. You really think ggg won't trap this guy and kill him? This isn't even a close fight.

                    Would be a Great Fight!

If the fight takes place I favor GGG to win by decision or late round stoppage. That being said I believe Froch, He'll take the fight if it excites him enough to train for it. Heck he's at the twilight of his career, never backed away from a fight that I know of and has always been a warrior. Hope the fight happens but if it doesn't hope Froch enjoys his retirement , it's a tough sport.
