  • Comments Thread For: DeGale Warns Dirrell: It's Going To Brutal and I'll Win

James DeGale MBE has warned Andre Dirrell that he is ready to pour his heart and soul into winning the vacant IBF World Super Middleweight title in Boston on Saturday night, live on Sky Sports.

DeGale and Dirrell came face to face at a press conference at Fenway Park yesterday, the home of the Boston Red Sox baseball team, and the Londoner will be swinging for the fence in an attempt to write his name into British boxing history.

‘Chunky’ has already spoken of his obsession with creating history as the first British Olympic gold medallist to win a World title, and the 29 year old said he will go ‘to hell and back’ to turn that dream into a reality.

    DeGale is too soft

Dirrell beats DeGirl easily on points. Brits are way too soft and untested in all big fights. There has never really ever been a great tough british Boxer who was a true champion. Hatton-Froch-Brook-Khan-Haye- all limited and weak inside. Grove-Cleverly-Burns-Bellew-Price-Fury- all soft jokes.

You again. What is it with you and British people? Did Hugh Grant bone your mum? Is your mum Divine Brown?

How you can list Hatton in your little rant above, given he only really lost to Mayweather and a jacked-up Pacquiao, and dominated at 140, is ridiculous. He was the very opposite of a soft fighter and tough as nails. Brook and Fury are unbeaten. Brook made Porter look like a child.

So stop talking out of your ass, especially when your knowledge of British fighters only seems to stretch back to Ricky Hatton.

      C*ckbreath.

Unless the Dirrell I know is gone he will be just too consistent for DeGale whose effort ebbs and flows against much lesser foes .

Dirrell does have haymon though. Dirrell has no career anyway. A Dirrell loss would cheer up all of America.

The only thing brutal in this fight will be the running and clinching, it will be brutally dull if Dirrell gets his way.

The only way a Dirrell fight can be brutal is if you hit him after he falls to the canvas.

DeGale has grown as a fighter but it's not his natural game to have to chase someone all over the ring. Dirrell's recent run doesn't look good but he should still be in his prime, or at least good enough to stink the place out but just about deserve the decision.
