Theres a reason why Roy Jones thinks Cotto would give GGG the better fight. You nimrods are focusing on age and physicality to justify your belief that Canelo has a better chance. The fact is Canelo is tailored for GGG, and GGG knows it. Canelo was tiring by the third round in his last fight and took a lot of punches as well, sitting on the ropes for major portions of each round. On top of that you guys are so enamored by GGG that you fail to see his blatant weaknesses. Cotto may not be the one to defeat GGG, but GGG will get exploited eventually. GGG will continue to win for now because his power is earth shattering, and it makes up for everything else. I said this before and ill say it again, GGG's power is a crutch and will ultimately be his undoing (similar to George Forman).

Before all these ALTs on here respond, know that I am a huge GGG fan, I am hoping for GGG Vs. Cotto, I want to see that fight more then GGG/Ward. In reality all fighters have weaknesses, If you are among those who subscribe to the GGG has no weakness script, then quite simply you are a band wagoner, non-knowledgeable about boxing, delusional, Troll, and a few other things that require expletives.

I've said before that Golovkin's weaknesses were quite clear from the Murray fight and highlighted further in the Monroe fight. First, he doesn't do body work hardly at all; he's a head hunter. Second, he's vulnerable to an effective jab.

As far as the headhunting I feel that favors GGG against both Cotto and Canelo. Cotto comes in head down and forward with very little head movement unless he's specifically trying to dodge a punch. Canelo leans back, he doesn't do lateral movement well, and GGG closes distance wonderfully.

The jab though is the problem. Cotto and Canelo are both effective jab fighters, especially Cotto. In Cotto's case he uses the jab interchangeably with a feint to a hook or a cross. He's also an effective combo puncher once he's got a sense of vulnerability. Canelo uses his jab to cause his opponent to make a mistake so he can counter (like Floyd would do, but Canelo is way slower).

I feel that the reason Roy thinks GGG takes it is that for GGG, it only takes one or two solid punches causing his opponents to get cautious before he takes control of the fight (Monroe). What I think he's missing is that Cotto can take solid punches (Pacquiao), and the Cotto that faced Pac was not nearly the same boxer that faced Martinez.

My opinion? Cotto/GGG goes the distance with Cotto eeking out a victory. Canelo/GGG ends with GGG stopping Canelo.

It's obvious Roy Jones Jr. doesn't know, and never did know, sh¡t about boxing.

You ever seen Rocky? "It's not about what you can give, it's about what you can take."

                Canelo's threshold > Cotto's threshold. Not debatable.

Are you seriously quoting a movie??? and comparing that to real life boxing???

Yes, I am. Because a movie is not real, it doesn't mean that what's being said doesn't pertain to real life. The words are real, the meaning is real. C'mon man, I should not have to explain that to you.

Now it would be different if I said "Well Rocky beat Drago so Canelo can beat GGG."

Then you would be able to use the quote you just used.

Cotto takes a knee and quits, Canelo will get stopped via referee or corner stoppage.
