I like Golovkin but he's become very overrated. He really hasn't accomplished anything of note yet but people are already putting him in the company of legendary fighters. He arguably hasn't even beaten a top 5 fighter in his own weightclass. This idea that he's going to go up to 168 and starch Froch is absolutely laughable. 0% of that happening. We're talking about a small MW who took 11 rounds to TKO Martin Murray. Golovkin is a fighter who is completely reliant on imposing his power and strength on opponents. Against Froch at 168 all these advantages go out the window. He has terrible defence and I don't care how good his chin looks against featherfisted MWs, against Froch he won't be able to eat all those shots for very long.
If this fight happens Froch knocks GGG out, I have no doubt about it.

A few days ago, Triple G's promoter Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions told BoxingScene.com that GGG had no issues with heading over to the UK or meeting Froch at 168-pounds.

Froch has been inactive since knocking out George Groves before 80,000 fans last May at Wembley Stadium.

Golovkin is one of the more active champions in the sport and tries to fight at least four times a year. He's already been in action twice in 2015, with knockouts of Martin Murray and Willie Monroe. A September return is being discussed.

That would be a great fight. Huge event at Wembley. Am pretty sure we will see this fight get done, both guys seem to do more fighting that primadonna bs negotiation tactics.

... Well: if the fight happens, I expect you to put some money where your mouth is...
But if the fight doesn't happen? Who's to blame? Golovkin, of course, right?

Oh I will. If it doesn't happen I'll blame whatever side holds up the fight but lets get one thing straight...there is no way Froch is scared of GGG or turning down this fight. Just look at who he's been in with and who GGG has been in with.

Won't happen. Froch will retire or fight someone else. Froch really has many of you snowed, and I can't believe any of you have him in the P4P list, that is absurd. Froch is just so limited as a fighter, technically and physically. He is ridiculously slow and has terrible technique and footwork. Sure he has had some good wins, absolutely. He is tough as nails I cannot argue that. But I mean look at his resume. He was beaten soundly and outclassed by Ward, beaten by Kessler, won a BS decision over Dirrell and his other fights with Kessler and Johnson were highly competitive. Oh and he also got dropped and beaten up for 11 rounds by Taylor and took a beating and was almost KOed by Groves before that bs stoppage. This is a guy people really think is P4P? lol wow. Did the standards dramatically drop? How on earth can his name even be mentioned even in the same sentence as Floyd, JMM, Wlad, Pac, etc.

Back to GGG, he brutalizes Froch and gives him a terrific beating en route to a late rds stoppage or 12 rd UD. Unless the fight is in the UK and Froch gets another BS win or he lands some haymaker on GGG, he gets soundly beaten up. Froch is easier to hit than a barn door and GGG will tee off on his head. This is no fight to me and will only go longer than it should because Froch is pretty big and has a great chin.

I'd love to see it, someone would get KTFO, not sure which though.

Don't think it's likely to happen though. Froch doesn't need that kind of fight at this stage of his career and he can probably make more money fighting DeGale (if he beats Dirrell) with a much lower chance of getting knocked out.

I wouldn't even be surprised if Callum Smith or Rocky Fielding was similar money. He'd get a larger cut than vs GGG and it'd get a lot of attention here in the UK.
