Comments Thread For: Thurman-Collazo, Harrison-Nelson - July 11 on ESPN

BoxingScene.com has been advised that a Premier Boxing Champions doubleheader is being put together for July 11th, as part of the PBC series on ESPN.

In the main event, WBA 'regular' welterweight champion Keith Thurman (25-0, 21KOs) would defend his title against former beltholder Luis Collazo (36-6, 19KOs).

Thurman is coming back from headlining the PBC premier on NBC, where he won a twelve round unanimous decision over Robert Guerrero. Collazo lost a decision to Amir Khan on the Mayweather-Maidana undercard last May, and then came back last month to stop Chris Degollado in three rounds.

How? Luis Collazo is a very tricky fighter and a former World Champion who knows what it takes to win and defend it. This is a last chance for him at the big level, so he better make it count. Not amazing, but not bad either. Kell Brook yaps his name post fight, but all we hear are crickets when Thurman shows interest in coming over to UK.

p.s. Nice little excuse Brook fans have carved up about how Thurman won't be allowed to travel.

          Fantastic? Lol.

I beg to differ. Shoukd be an amazing knockout though by Thurman. It will certainly make someone's signature.

What a ****ty fight... Then again Thurman was just in a tough fight, he could use a tune-up so I won't hate too much. He better fight Maidana next though, I need to see that fight.

            #WarThurman anyway.

1 step forward, 2 steps back. Disappointing. Not the worst fight on earth but i expected better.

I don't think Thurman can quite do what Khan did, I would also hope Collazo would bring it a bit better than he did that night.

Thurman is a big favorite though, so I can understand not liking it.
