      Kovalev would get Pacquiao'd.

Oh, not KTFO6 Pacquiao'd..... outclassed Pacquiao'd, like Mayweather did.

Ward will move up eventually, no question.

But only when he is ready, and he would only fight Kovalev as a LHW, not as the smaller man moving up for 1 fight.

Ward is too smart to compromise himself, so Kovalev will have to wait.

        Ward wins a wide'ish UD..... 116-112.

Open your eyes ese lol, these guys are trying to make it like we dont have our own people/athletes to go for and market on us.
I think it's more the other way around, the Mexican-American fans are drawn to certain fighters rather than having them foist upon them. Maidana, Matthysse were adopted by them and now Golovkin too. It doesn't surprise me to read Kovalev was mobbed by those fans. They like a certain style.

Just my thoughts, could be wrong.....

            Unfortunately.....

Kovalev/Ward is the fight that I want.

Golovkin/Ward is more likely, but still unlikely.

Unfortunately, if Golovkin/Ward happens, the Kovalev fight will never get made.

The Russians are too well-managed, especially Golovkin.

The only other way this could play out would be if Ward moves up to 175 sooner, rather than later, which I dont think is very likely to happen either.

            My reasoning is.....

            1) If Ward stays at 168, he will not fight Kovalev unless Kovalev drops to 168, which will not happen..... so that fight is off the table, forget it..... because Ward is far to smart to disadvantage/compromise himself, and Kovalev is too smart to drop an entire division and get Dawson'd.

            2) Golovkin will never fight Ward, period, because Sanchez is too smart, and Golovkin is clearly very well-managed. There is a very good reason why Sanchez starts stuttering and spitting excuses whenever Ward is mentioned.

            3) IF, somehow, a Golovkin/Ward fight got made, the result would kill the Kovalev fight.

            4) The only way the above situation could be avoided would be if Ward moved up to 175 sooner, rather than later, otherwise timing will likely kill a potential Kovalev fight considering that is likely 2+ years down the line.

I could be wrong, but it does not appear to me that any of those guys will be travelling too far from their respective comfort zones, especially Golovkin, but also including my boy Ward.

Yeah, at some point in the future I'm sure that will happen, but certainly not imminently. He's declared as much several times, but evidently there isn't much to challenge him at SM currently. Depending how DeGale fairs against Dirrell, that could be an interesting fight soon-ish.

I agree about the 116-112. The boys got skills, even if he's a bit dull.

Unless Ward is going to fight DeGale, Groves and possibly GGG after the SMith fiasco, I don't see why he should stay at 168. Which means he should be moving to 175 and facing either Kovalev or Stevenson.
