We have Degale / Dirrell which most are also looking forward to . Broner/Porter coming up which will be a barn burner . If my memory serves me correctly Fonfara/Chavez was also on PBC , a fight once again most posted in anticipation of . The problem is that most look forward to these fights , but since its Haymon , they wait till the fights over and then s..t the event . It's a very strange irony that keeps occurring . Even now , I haven't heard not one person say anything bad about this DeGale/Dirrell fight , but u wait till its over and watch the these turncoats ! So when u say PBC is not delivering its seems meritless considering HBO constantly shows GGG fighting nobodies all the time . Not to mention the same thing is happening with Kovalev (with the exception of the Pascal fight) . PBC is brand new , so why is the expectation so much , so fast ?

Now me personally , I can only say that a network is failing to deliver good fights if 1) I have no interest in watching it (like Canelo/Kirkland) or 2) I start watching it but can't finish due to boredom . So if I'm watching a fight from start to finish then obviously it's capturing my attention so I have no right (unless its a race based smear campaign) to complain about that network not delivering good fights .

PBC is new but you want to put your best foot forward and put on exciting fights the public have been asking for, that simply hasn't happened yet.

Showtime did much better with roughly the same group fighters in 2013, but Schaefer was in charge then and he knew the formula required.

If memory serves me correctly Chavez-Fonfara was overshadowed by Matthysse-Provodnikov.

Dirrell-DeGale was mandated by the IBF, so it's not a fight Haymon put together. While I like the match-up, I don't think it's going to be an exciting action fight and that's really what PBC needs.

There have been a few good fights on PBC but it hasn't captured the public's imagination, it hasn't even captured the boxing fan's imagination.

boxing in general hasnt captured the public's imagination. im failing to see your point. Dirrell vs DeGale was mandated sure, but it didnt havt to happen. It was a fight both sides wanted and PBC did an excellent job putting it together. You seem to just be looking for reasons to disparage a Haymon run venture. its kinda sad, because theres very little to suggest PBC is doing bad in the american public. Does it have a long way to go? Sure. But talking about it failing before its even been a year speaks volumes about u as a boxing fan.

I'm sorry but Hauser is supposed to be legit but this is the third article he has created that shows his partiality. This guy has lost all objectivity and credibility because he is serving the purpose of Arum. That last part was horrible w/ racist overtones of hanging Haymon from the gallows . . . If I post something like that I will get banned for abusing my privilege to post.

I don't always agree with Hauser but I've always enjoyed his articles. The first three parts of this series was kinda bad. I was actually enjoying this one until that absolutely creepy and disgusting ending. Boy, people really don't like "change" huh

                    Why Bash Haymon?

I suspect that a lot of this *****ing has to do with the old guard being outmaneuvered, and pissed off.

This article, and the Haymon hate in general, is really an agenda driven by those connected to Golden Boy and the status quo. If you look at who this is coming from, Steve Kim, Hauser, etc., then it's clear there is an agenda. That Internet radio show, The Next Round (TNR), relentlessly bashes anything associated with Haymon, PBC, Showtime, NBC, CBS, Spike, BET, Mayweather, etc., every chance they have (and this is true of all the platforms that Kim is on). TNR has the exact same people (and it's not many of them) calling in every single week joining in and piling on the bashing, it's one big yes-man show, and then they try to spin it like this is the entire boxing public. If anyone calls in once in a while with a different opinion they get shut down. It gets tired real fast, and I only listen for the boxing news, not for the spin. TNR should change their name to TNRBH (The Next Round of Bashing Haymon (and network or any fighter associated with him), because that's exactly what they do. Hauser's articles clearly have the same agenda. I like the information passed on by Kim and Hauser due to insider access, but negative spin for anything Haymon related is hurting the sport that they claim to love. I really dislike using the word 'hater', but in this case, that's exactly what it is.

I have been to some PBC fights, they are no worse than any other fights, with high quality production and some innovative ideas. Many of the match ups on HBO are mismatches, one fighter steamrolling another overmatched opponent. That's not great boxing to me.

I don't know who is going to win Dirrell-DeGale (I think it will be Dirrell) because it's an evenly matched fight. So was Garcia-Peterson. That intrigues me, not GGG running over someone who I know has no chance. I like GGG, but I want to see him in a 'competitive' matchup, not a showcase for Lampley and others to have a chance to get out their pompoms (****, ****, ****).

I'm seeing more boxing on more networks at varied times of the day, and that is just great for me. HBO and Showtime are not the only game in town now for top matchups. Dirrell-DeGale is a quality matchup of two skilled fighters, and I'm down for that. I'm also looking forward to Porter-Broner (I like Porter in that one). The people going off because it's at a catchweight say nothing when Canelo or Pac does the same. If the fighters agree with it, then it's OK by me.

People forget that a lot of fights didn't happen before because of Network stuff, sanctioning body back room politics (cats complained about them for years, and are now defending them?), and promoters putting good fighters on the shelve for years as revenge for not wanting to pick cotton (where is Mickey Garcia?). I'm all for alternatives, the more alternatives, the better. I could care less if the 'old system' changed, boxing has always been corrupt and had problems. PBC? I say bring it on. Mo' boxing is mo' better.
