I agree, brick. I'm sure ESPN will keep him though, I'd be surprised if the commentators change.

Too bad. In my house hold there will be no ESPN networks on any tvs that is not boxing. I have been with ESPN and ESPN2 since the beginning, I will not be with them after the end!

If Teddy stays on, I'm good.

Can't imagine it being a Friday night watching boxing on ESPN, and not hearing how to build a sammich equates to some 12-0 prospect getting the KO win over a 23-15 guy.

It's like putting on a pair of old work jeans.

                  Shit fits.

actually, its NOT the same thing. Its changing from a weekly series on ESPN2 to a monthly series on ESPN. So its losing 75% of its dates.......

Al Haymon wins again. No more Teddy Atlas in your living rooms on Friday night.
Did you even read the article or just come here to stir the pot?

Although PBC on ESPN means the end of "Friday Night Fights" after a 17-year run, blow-by-blow announcer Joe Tessitore and analyst Teddy Atlas, both ringside fixtures, will continue in their roles on the PBC cards. Additional on-air commentators will be announced at a later date.
And if you want to b*tch about production quality, it's on ABC because they're doing it.

Over the course of the two-year deal, which runs through July 2017, at least two of the 24 two-hour cards will air on ABC, ESPN's sister network, on Saturday afternoons. Haymon is buying the air time for the 24 cards. ESPN is footing the bill for the production. PBC holds an option for six additional cards. Haymon also has to pay the fighter purses and the other expenses related to putting on an event.
So we are going to get more name fighters on ESPN. Did you want Provodnikov vs. TBA forever? Even the guys fighting on the undercards are being given the opportunity to have their bouts televised.

ESPN3.com will stream preliminary bouts from each card. It will also stream PBC on ESPN weigh-ins the day before the fights. Live coverage of the fights will also be available through WatchESPN on computers, smartphones, tablets, Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360 and Xbox One via an affiliated video provider.
The person who benefits most from a competitive market is the consumer. How much do HBO and Showtime cost you each month? $30 or so? Should we really be cheering to pay for premium channels and $60-$100 PPVs to watch the sport we love? PBC buying time has forced other big boys like Top Rank to make less than advantageous TV deals for themselves and we as consumers of boxing programming win. I don't give a **** of it's on TruTV, NBCsports, between Keeping up with the Kardashian reruns on E!.
