I didn't exactly think of classical "outboxing" but Froch usually doesn't get reckless early on when his opponent are heavy punchers.
With that said, I can see what you wrote. It can be easily a firefight though I think more likely just later on not in the first half of the fight (assuming neither of them KO the other in the first half).

Golovkin is not really one for hanging around until the 2nd half of a fight to mix it up, he usually pushes the action from round 2 after a feeling his opponent out in round 1. Froch will respond if Golovkin lands something big.

Just how I see it going if they get it signed.

Why should it be considering how predictable the outcome will be ? For TRUE fight fans , that's what makes GREAT FIGHTS / FIGHTS WE'D GLADLY PAY FOR ; that is fights that have the lowest predictability ratio . That's what made all the great fights great ie Tyson/Lewis Hagler/Sugar Ray ect ect . Not Froch/GGG where Froch only has about a 15 % chance to win unless he fights in Nottingham where his chances go to about 70% due to the famous home cooking the town is so well known for (and that's on if he can stay standing for 12)

Dana White recently broke it down as to why the UFC was having the Aldo/McGregor fight in Vegas when could've had 60,000 in Dublin. In Vegas they pay you a site fee and then you get a portion of the ticket revenue on top of that. For a non-casino, you have to pay to use the establishment, that could be a couple million swing alone. Also MGM covers setup costs & labor, which for a big stadium show is quite expensive.

A big factor to this is whether Froch would draw a big UK crowd to Vegas. Golovkin will bring a strong Mexican crowd (which they would lose if they fought in the UK). The other big factor is whether they'll risk this being on US ppv (I think they will as they'd only need about 300k buys bring in $7mill). Not sure how UK ppv's perform on US time.

Great post, you make some very good points. I think that Froch doesn't have to bring Hatton-type of a UK crowd to Vegas to sell out the MGM Grand, or possibly the Thomas and Mack Center, though. If he brings a coupe of thousand, I think it will work. The MGM seats about 16K, and GGG alone did 12K+ last week.

As far as the US PPV, that may be a tough sell, but with a high license fee from both HBO and the MGM (or Steve Wynn) coupled with international TV rights fees, this might actually make better sense to bring it to Vegas! It would be nice if they did, and I would definitely be there!

Then why are Mayweather fights on PPV? There are no more predictable fights on PPV than Mayweather fights. Including the most recent debacle. And are you going to try to tell me that Pac - Algieri was not predictable? Please. How about you start by telling me when the last PPV was that was not predictable?

This is a consensus 50-50 fight, or at most a 60-40 either way if you have a preference for one boxer.

It's never an 85-15, and venue/judges won't matter in this one.

Back what I said first: It would depend (s most of the times) who's will would be stronger. The fighter who would be forced to fight the other's fight would lose.
