HBO pays license fees which is a major part of the fighters purses.

This fight would probably have to be ppv.

Golovkin's HBO's darling. Get your paymasters to front up the money. Instead of trying to get a handout from the UK market.

Unlike Golovkin, Khan has actually fought a lot of top opposition and taken risks. You try to demean Carl Froch too - he actually fought off TV in the UK against Taylor, spent years taking risky fights with no real exposure on a major UK network. He didn't have this entitled attitude that Golovkin's team seem to have.

"We need PPV". "Gennady needs a huge chunk of the purse". All these demands and his best win is Martin Murray

The point about Canelo that you clearly missed is that he's becoming one of the biggest PPV stars in the game and a lot of people saw him struggle with Lara. If GGG goes out and destroys that same guy, those people will think this guy might be the one worth paying our money for.

But nope....Golovkin and his team are happy sitting in their comfort zone. They refused to take a Kovalev style risk and fight Ward a couple of years ago and they refuse to try to make interesting matchups.

Instead, lets continue KO bums and try not to get exposed before hopefully someone finally gives us the handout payday we crave.
Lara said GGG has to drop to 154. I highly doubt that Haymon let's him fight GGG, and I also highly doubt that HBO would pay Lara after the Canelo stink out.

However, I'll compromise. Should GGG-Lara happen, we'll have avi/sig bet. You also can't EVER use the fact that Lara was "too small" or any other BS excuse after he gets KTFO. Deal?

Not once did he ever say that.

You can doubt all you want. Lets have something concrete. Like say an offer from Tom Loeffler. He repeatedly says the Lara fight can happen. So why does he never put his money where his mouth is?

Probably because Tom Loeffler knows more about the business than you do.
Why isn't Lara vs Rodriguez on HBO, if it's just that easy?

He does and he keeps telling us all that the Lara fight is a possibility.

So why does he make no effort to make it happen?

Khan is not gonna be carrying any PPVs after Algieri. Hell if coming in as B-side makes you PPV, GGG is it already.

GGG is not entitled fcukhead, it's the opposite. Most of his career fought for peanuts. Fought in fcuking Panama. Never passed on an offer AFAIK, and that includes Ward. He never asks for a huge chunk of the money, that's an outright lie. Going to the UK to face Froch at 168 is not entitled, GTFO. Unless you feel Froch is just waiting to be exposed by an unproven middle.

People already know Canelo vs GGG is worth paying for, nobody needs Lara for that. Why are you serving me these fairytales?

Again with your complete ignorance of the business. It's been years since HBO has committed 4m for a fight in total, and they regretted it quick. 4m is not gonna do it here, hell Froch wouldn't even take that much for his own purse vs GGG.

The UK is where this fight makes the most money, like every fight involving Froch. Sorry you don't wanna see him beheaded in front of his home fans, but most of us would love to see this bout.

You're one to talk about outright lies

Tom Loeffler literally said this week that he would need a large chunk of the money to fight Ward. And he said the same thing a couple of years ago when Ward was clearly the bigger name.

They weren't willing to pull a Kovalev and take the short money against Ward. Where a win would have made him an instant PPV star. Too much risk, they needed a large chunk of the purse because of their overwhelming and undeserved sense of entitlement.

My point is about GGG-Froch being on PPV in the US. It might reach that stage quicker if his entitled team actually tried to make intriguing fights like Lara.
