What you neglect to realize is that if 'the best' fighters your favorites fought all those years had acted the way your favourite fighters are acting today, they never would have had the chance to fight them in the first place because they would have been refused by using the same feeble arguments you use now.
IF the best available refuse to fight a fighter, tell us all how that fighter is supposed to raise his standing? Your so called 'hall of famers' owe something back to the sport by passing the torch, by fighting the up and coming greats of tomorrow. If they do not do that, they should retire and get their selfish asses out of the sport of boxing. Their actions, their refusal to fight, is de****able and unworthy of true champions.
At least Froch has the honor to let his titles go so that others can win and defend them.
If you want them go get them. What did Pac do to get Oscar? Moved up 2 weight classes.
What did Floyd do to get Oscar? Moved up and conceeded to all of his demands.
You can't just sit in your weight class and expect the greats to concede to your demands. If he wants a big fight, get Froch the money he's worth, give him his split, travel move to his division and do something great.
And its not just GGG. Ward, Rigo and others have this same mentality.
I agree. Before that he was hinting he'd fight DeGale, then he rules out the DeGale fight.
I think he watched the Monroe fight, felt that Golovkin looked vulnerable and thought "I'll have a bit of that".
Surprised Hearn saying it will fill Wembley, I wouldn't have thought it was a Wembley fight but then say if he puts Groves-DeGale II on the undercard, or another big fight then maybe it is.
Honestly, he said that after the Murray fight and the Munroe fight just confirmed it for him.
Reality is that Froch is a lot bigger and punches a lot harder than average joes like Munroe jr and Murray. They wouldn't last 3-4 rounds with the Cobra, let alone 11 & 6. But I do believe there's an element of truth in it when Golovkin says he lets them into the fight for entertaining reasons. And also probably because he can't get a top fight.
it's not the best preperation though. Taking a stiff right hand from Froch would send him to the canvas if he has his hands down like that. But GGG is so accurate, active and his punch variety is superb. It's a tremendous fight.
But in a war, I'd pick Froch - the more tried and tested warrior. GGG could hurt him with the body shots, but I see Froch establishing the stinging long jab early and could frustrate him.
I'd pick the Cobra, but wouldn't be surprised if GGG pulled it off.
If Froch wins though, he'll have a firm place on the 1st ballot as soon as he retires.
THE champ at 154 is too small, but the dude that lost his last fight at Caneloweight isn't.
GGG can't win; Lineal Champ at 160 won't take him, Canelo has to clean out 155, Haymon fighter's can't/won't, Ward needs his tune-ups, See Haymon situation re: Lara. He handily beats the last 3 guys that gave the previous lineal champ some problems...
I doubt Froch happens, but I'm pretty sure Lee has the balls to face and will be next. Not that that's going to get GGG any credit whatsoever.
What are you guys talking about? GGG would beat the hell out of him. Froch is washed up and never was that good to begin with.
I'd second that. Yeah, Froch has size but Golovkin been fighting grown men on the streets since he was a kid. He will hurt Froch if not drop him. Also Froch is open to big shots and less technically sound.
If you want them go get them. What did Pac do to get Oscar? Moved up 2 weight classes.

Come on man, Team GGG is not paying Froch's purse, that's ridiculous. Froch's last purse was 13m, GGG's career high 1.5. They're conceding Froch the weight, home court and A-side perks. It'd be a big fight in the UK and globally.
Yeah and Khan is gonna be PPV after he beats Algieri. Canelo Lara was a **** show btw. I don't think GGG needs direct comparisons to Canelo, everyone knows Canelo is not ready, his promoter said so. Understandable, he's young and coming up in weight. Froch OTOH...
Khan probably will get a PPV fight with Mayweather after Algieri. He's already been on PPV in the UK.
Unlike Golovkin, Khan has actually fought a lot of top opposition and taken risks. You try to demean Carl Froch too - he actually fought off TV in the UK against Taylor, spent years taking risky fights with no real exposure on a major UK network. He didn't have this entitled attitude that Golovkin's team seem to have.
"We need PPV". "Gennady needs a huge chunk of the purse". All these demands and his best win is Martin Murray
The point about Canelo that you clearly missed is that he's becoming one of the biggest PPV stars in the game and a lot of people saw him struggle with Lara. If GGG goes out and destroys that same guy, those people will think this guy might be the one worth paying our money for.
But nope....Golovkin and his team are happy sitting in their comfort zone. They refused to take a Kovalev style risk and fight Ward a couple of years ago and they refuse to try to make interesting matchups.
Instead, lets continue KO bums and try not to get exposed before hopefully someone finally gives us the handout payday we crave.
