But then there's 2 divisions between Ward and Golovkin. That's good for Golovkin fans but not those that want to see him tested. It's obvious Ward-GGG should happen and then Ward-Kovalev that way we get two quality fights instead of one.

I realize that, but I'm not sure if this is to move up or a way to get down to 168 slowly. I'm not sure to be honest, GGG or Kov, he probably has a better shot against GGG then he should move up to fight Kov. But I have no clue, Ward has had about the worst advice possible thus far in his career.

I agree, especially if Ward wins.

Ideally, Ward/GGG and Stevenson/Kov would be on the same PPV card.

The next card would have Ward's 1st fight at 175 and the winner of Stevenson/Kov defending their title in an "optional" (meaning easy KO) on regular TV.

Assuming Ward wins, his next fight would be against whoever that is. If it's Kov, so be it.

Why Is There No Pressure For Ward To Fight Kolalev?

The people asking for Ward to fight Kovalev (which Kathy Duva said that there are prelim talks for the fight to happen next year) are Golovkin fans.

They have no problem with Golovkin moving down to fight (or fighting smaller guys) but not moving up (or fighting bigger guys).

I'm a Ward fan, if he goes up to LHW to fight Kovalev, he kisses the Golovkin fight goodbye. Golovkin will never be a LHW.

                  I want both fights.

Ward started at MW just like Golovkin. SMW is Ward's second weight class. Golovkin should stop holding the title of "Biggest Hypejob in Boxing" hostage. Ward is willing to take his soul this year.

                  Yay or nay?

There is and it looks like its headed that way. GGG fans circular arguments are going nowhere

i'd be happy with either fight, but if we could get both that would be ideal. the only thing is, it will be the latter half of 2016 at earliest that golovkin will fight ward, realistically, and does ward have enough quality opponents at super middle to tide him over until then? outside of degale/dirrell it's a fairly barren division right now. as a kovalev fan it'd please me to see him given first dibs on ward's 0
