I never said the fight shouldn't be at 160. I think some misunderstood.

      Ill rephrase:

Does lara have to fight a fight at 160 to be considered? (meaning does he have to get a w at 160 before fighting GGG)

No. GGG is fighting again in September. Lara is fighting in June.
Do you really think they are asking Lara to get a fight at 160lbs in July or August then fight GGG in September?

Not those exact dates but yea that's the question I'm referring to.

It would be unrealistic to expect Lara to fight in June then in July or August before fighting GGG in September.
Their plan is for GGG to fight again in Sept and Dec. Lara has 2 chances this year to get this fight that he says he wants.

Jacobs just stated publicly admitted he isn't ready for Golovkin. He said he would love to fight Golovkin, but not right now, in the future at some point.

Haven't heard much from Quillin recently. I wonder if he's going to stay at 160 or move to 168? He's missed weight twice now and it's obviously getting pretty hard for him to make weight.

Jacobs vs Quillin should just happen already on PBC, I'd like to see it. We already know Haymon is building for it, but since Quillin didn't win the title from Andy Lee I guess we'll have to wait until one of them is champ.

I guess you missed this reply to you from vman075:
Yes move up for the fight. Yes Rosado had to move up to 60 for them to consider him for the fight bc they weren't going to fight at 54 where rosado was previously. So yes you are reaching.

If someone at super middleweight said I'll consider fighting Golovkin if he comes up to 168, do you think that means he has to fight a few fights at 168 or do you think that means come up to 68 and we can fight? I think it's obviously the second one.

To sum up here - no. Lara would just have to "move up to 160" to fight Golovkin (as in, the fight would be at 160).

Well that's up to Lara, but maybe he'll want to fight someone to see how he feels at the weight before he faces, probably, the most dangerous opponent at 160 (GGG). Wouldn't be a bad idea to first take on someone like Jacobs and then fight GGG. But if he wanted he could fight him right away.

Go check out Peter Quillin's twitter to see how he felt about GGG. If he felt like that, I don't understand why he won't fight him.

this should be an interesting fight, even know lara will be a clear underdog i wouldnt count him out just yet, he will be by far the best fighter GGG has faced as a pro so far, but not only that, he has an akward style that GGG hasnt faced yet and if lara can make it to the final bell who knows, those factors are enough for me to ask for this fight, lara has fought 10 times already above 154 so shouldnt be any excuses for GGGs team to consider him if you are already considering canelo, but agree lara should go at 160 since he is the one who is practically begging for this fight, lets see if GGGs team even sends an offer for this fight or instead end up fighting tureano or some other no hopper ... with that being said i have GGG by KO late on the fight, and i will enjoy that...
