Carl Froch has rejected the idea of facing Olympic gold medal winner James DeGale - even if he captures the IBF super middleweight championship with a victory on Saturday night against Andre Dirrell in Boston.
Froch vacated the title back in February, because he had no interest in making a mandatory defense against DeGale. The IBF ordered DeGale and Dirrell to fight for the vacant crown. Dirrell lost a controversial twelve round decision to Froch several years ago in the Super Six tournament.
Inactive since last May's knockout of George Groves before a record crowd of 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium, Froch is not confident of being tempted to fight again.
