I agree it probably should have been a draw. I watched the replay two weekends ago with the sound off. Most rounds were tough to score, especially the first half of the fight. I think Floyd won some of the later rounds more clearly but I also think the fight was very close at that point.
Both guys were hurt by this fight at the end of the day. Pac is coming off as a sore loser, legit injury or not and Floyd is getting ****ted on by people outside of his hardcore fanbase for a boring win.

What do Mosley and Holyfield have in common? A couple of broke fools who sacrificed their dignity for an extra pay cheque.

I doubt Arum has contacted them directly, but it wouldn't be surprised me we are seeing his influence at play.

his sig doesn't even make any sense, pacquiao is setting a trap, and the right hand of a southpaw isn't what you use to parry the right cross of an orthodox

the real thumper is mayweather suppossed inability of parrying a left hand, how many times did he get clocked by a straight left with his chin in the air? jesus, atleast tuck if you for some reason dont know how to parry a left

I know Floyd being awarded a points decision over Pac is the highlight of your life as you even admitted to, but damn.....LOL.

He's a ****** rioting idiot who lives vicariously through Floyd, aka your average Floyd fan.

Floyd etched rounds out in a close fight by landing a few extra jabs against a one armed shot chin opponent.

It was no way near dominant, Pac landed the cleaner harder shots that is indisputable.

Floyd just gets the benefit of the doubt and wins fights by doing the bare minimum.

I gave Floyd a slight edge but I have a problem with ANY Champion using his methods to win. He looked tentative to scared and when there were spots I thought he take over in he simply moved away!
I'll give Manny some extra credit for initiating the exchanges, I heard people use the phrase ineffective agression and I'll take issue with that. The bottom line is that his agression was effective because it caused 85% of the contact and he got the better of Floyd enough times to warrent credit.
For me its tough to watch the Champion run and lets face it he does run.
He's not on the outside using laterial movement and popping double jabs as he slides. He just doesn't look good anymore! Manny not any better either.

Can't wait for them to go away, please take Wlad with you he's the worst!

Originally, I had Floyd by a comfortable margin, but on rewatch with a friend, scoring together, its actually quite close.

Most of the rounds can go either way, really. The thing is in many of these rounds, Floyd perhaps got more punches in, but Pac got the better harder punches. But, Floyd also appeared more in control in terms of controlling the distance. I think that sense of control really made it feel like Floyd won those rounds.

I dunno, I think Floyd is the right winner, but it's actually close. Pac got in a lot more punches than I remembered, but they are so quick, and Floyd gets out of the way, that they don't look like much always.
Great Post. I had Floyd winning 116-112 on initial viewing but there was a ton of close rounds. To me there was 3 clear rounds for May and 2 for Pac. The rest were all so close because neither fighter did much to seperate themselves. I think part of what hurts Pac in this fight is that we all expected him to have to significantly out punch Floyd to win this fight or he would lose. But truth is it was still a very close fight.

You had the fight 116:112 when you watched it honestly. The second time around, you watched it with your damage control lenses.

The fight was more one sided than Pacquiao v Bradley I.
